Technically, the major opening was one month ago from tomorrow (4.03.06), but it was online 3/2/2006.

So, since then, are you use to 5.0...why? If you aren't use to it yet, why not?

For myself, I'm pretty much use to it. I use to go to the STEX all the time, but for some reason I haven't been going there that much. I've been going to the 'Live Chat' like crazy! The only thing I'm not use to is the coding of the website, but I'm quickly starting to learn!

Completely used to it now, knew I would be. ST 5.0 had a bumpy start but every other version of ST did so I trusted it that this will as well 4.gif

5.0 is very organized, fast and easier to use. Especialy the the new forum format, which gives lots of options for CJing.

I am extremely happy for this website. Getting used to this site was like learning the buttons on an NES.

Very much used to the new site. The forums are fast, the STEX has some brand new cool features, and there are other things that make the site great. Dirk has shown some incredible attention to detail and it has made the site all the better for it.

Definately!  I have completely assimilated to Simtropolis 5.0 and I don't think I could go back to 4.0 now.  I think it is a great forum, I once again feel at home here! 48.gif

I'm used to Simtropolis 5.0  now,  infact I think that version 5.0 is better than version 4.0.  This was a smart decision, because for some reason when I subimited a post a to a topic, (on the previous version) sometimes when I looked at the pages on that particular topic I replyed to, my post wasn't there, so I tried again and for some reason I double posted on accident.  (I only did this once14.gif) So back on 4.0 if it did not go through (Error message or otherwise), I just cancled it.  Now, I had no such problem on 5.0.  If it wasn't for this upgrade to 5.0, I would be doing what I did on 4.0 (if it went through good, if it didn't I canceled it).

So if I had to rate version 5.0  out of 5 (5 the best, 1 the worst),  I would give it a 59.gif

The new site is no better or worse than what came before it, just different.  As we all get used to using it everything will become easier and easier.  One day an upgrade will be made to 6.0 and we can start complaining all over again.  Something to look forward too.10.gif

I am quite used to 5.0 as things have recovered. I have found a way around getting my coloured text signature to show up in 5.0, and my avatar is still preserved. Of course initially, there were problems on how to get around posting coloured text, but that's all solved.

It hasn't affected me at all.

I joined right around when ST 5 started being rolled out, so I can't comment on the ST 4 to ST 5 comparison factor, but I can say that as an individual that rarely joins (and therefore knows little of the standard conventions and features of) any web sites or forums that ST 5 is very user friendly and easy to catch on to. I use the myForums area to both follow threads of interest and use the Hot Topics tab to see what's new, and I'm learning new things almost every time I go on. Good job, Dirk!

I like the new version, aside from a few minor bugs which Dirk is still ironing out. It's been easier for me to find the things I'm

looking for, and the site seems more responsive when browsing.

When I first joined the Simtrop forums back in December 2005, I thought that it was really awesome and couldn't get any better; but it did...

I am definitely used to Simtrop 5.0! The organization and new features are great, and it is much faster! I'm not trying to push anybody when I say that all we need now is the home page and the new CJ section. Thank you Dirk for working so hard on this site!29.gif

Totally used to it here. It only took me about 3 - 5 days to get used to ST fully when it came out. And as things are coming up again gradually and some bugs are being fixed, it's making the site even better and more easy to get used to. 44.gif

It's the same story as always, the people go mad when it all begins but turn around and get used to it, how amazing 21.gif

Anyway, I am pretty used to the new site with it's speedier page loading times and bright graphics, though I still can't wait to see the final touches get finished around here.

I too have been getting more and more used to it as more features are released. I'd say that the thing that totally brought me around to liking ST 5.0 was when we got the old chat back.

Yeah, I think many people didn't like the new version because it didn't have that many functions. Until now. As of now, I'm only waiting for the homepage to be released.
