Official BAT Request Thread

Hi! Some of you may know me from SCC as john. I'm the founding member of the CBIO. CBIO

The CBIO is dedicated to getting buildings built for us by people who know WTF they are doing.

My pet project right now is to get someone (anyone) to BAT the Milwaukee Art Museum for me. MAM The MAM is an interesting structure designed by Sergio Calatrava.

So, is anyone up to the challenge?

hello all im new here and i have a request, im a HUGE ohio state buckeye fan and i was wondering if someone could do Ohio Stadium for me? here is a link to some refrence pictures!

and i also have a request for a few off the wall odd ball BATS. im a huge transformer and gijoe fan and i think it would be cool if there was a plopable ARK (transformers ship) and a GIJOE and a COBRA Base thats plopable! this would be awsome!

I would like to know if anyone could please make this prominate Tucson building.  I don't know how to use the BAT program but I have been wanting to place this particular building in one of my cities.  Could someone please make this possible??  Below are 3 pics of the Tucson Building that used to be called Norwest Tower but I will call it the Tucson Tower.

I would like to see the pentagon made. I checked the STEX and apparantly it does no exist when you type in pentagon.

No promises, but I'll play with those Tuscon buildings.  They look like very simple designs, so I'll play with them tonight and see if I like the results.

Hi everyone.

i am tired of seeing only 3 storied shopping malls in simcity4. where i live we have
like huge shopping malls, i mean almost 5*5 tiles in simcity4, but all of them have around 5 stories buildings. so please can anyone BAT a couple of plop tall malls, and even hotel. it would add a real touch in my metropolis. THANK YOU.

PS. i am also a BATTER and currently working on medium wealth housing project, i need someone to please build me main lobby doors. i am really bad at making doors. PLz help me. need two doors, one with 4.5 l by 3.8 w and 4.5 l by 4.0 w. BAT model, i just need doors, i will submit these buildings at STEX a soon as the robbers keep out of them., PLZ PM me whoever has doors for me or any suggestion.

How about the Staley Building in Decatur, IL? I absolutely need it for my Decatur replica, and it would fill a lot of requests for a nice mid-size skyscraper.

As much as I like the freedom tower idea that it seems they will build in New York.... I very strongly prefer to rebuild an identical World Trade Center Twin Towers (as the original), just larger and taller than before (making them the highest in the world).

I'd hate it if the message that we sent out to the world is: 'Terrorists can always change the cityscape of any city of their choosing.'

At least if we put it back the same, and perhaps taller (and safer), it would send a message that: 'Terrorist attacks are forgotten in time; Terrorists can't force America to change.' so they may not be so proud of themselves to do more new bombings.

As far as suggesting BAT buildings to be built....

.... I'm always afraid that if i make suggestions, that someone will come back and say: Do it YOURSELF!.

But not withstanding that fear I'll say that SC3 had tons of LDS Church Building Styles from all decades, and I was very impressed. They aren't hard to do, because of the simplicity, however they do have a natural reverence and beauty to them.

And if someone asked me what the ONE most desired BAT building that I'd like to see done is... I'd say: The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Portland Oregon Temple (not a church... its a TEMPLE)... made of all Marble and Slate with 6 huge towering spires amidst the background of the Oregon evergreen tree-scape. Breathtaking! But it would be a VERY difficult project to undertake. I can only imagine about half a dozen BAT builders here that I feel could pull it off with the level of quality that this building deserves. (But from what I've seen so far, I think I'd have complete faith in the guy who just finished the new World Trade Center complex lot!)

Anyway, thats my two cents submittal 'On the Topic'.

I was thinking about something different - maybe a horse racing course - see the following links (ideally we could have the horses as props in the paddocks etc, and stands that fill and empty every so often - also if it became a lot properly maybe give it charactersitics like the country club?)

Hello, can someone tackle making this store as a landmark? It's an old Lazarus (now closed) in Columbus, Ohio at Northland Mall (now demolished except for the old Lazarus).

With the closing of the original store in Columbus, thought it'd be a nice landmark. I also suggested in another post maybe creating malls with actual anchor stores such as JCPenney, Sears, Dillards, Macy's, etc.

Once again, I'm off on a small town tangent...

In addtion to rice paddies (please please make for me! I am helpless...)


I would like to see some way of creating fishing villages. I imagine that making realistic looking fishing ports would be relatively easy. But making them act realistic might be more difficult. Is there anyway to take, say, a small port and give it the characteristics of a farm? This way you could maybe create New England style fishing villages with large forests surrounding a small town on the coast instead of farms for jobs.

I'm not really sure of what the farm attributes are, but it might be nice if it were possible to make these types of fishing piers. And if you're really ambitious, maybe you could put in some fishing boats too!

Anyway, if you are interested in taking the lead on this, I'll give whatever help I can in terms of research and helping to perfect the look... as well as testing.

Ack, sorry to be a nuisance, but I'd like to add to my list of requests...

1) Rice paddies that replace all in-game farms.
2) Fishing docks (New England style, maybe Asian style) that act as farms.
3) Oriole Park at Camden Yards (maybe with functional train station too?)
