You've created a masterpiece here! I won't be surprised if this won a Trixie this year. 10.gif

Here's the region map from a few weeks ago.

    overviewmap600x6003dm.jpg

You might recall you can click on this map to bring it up full-size in a new window.

See Pratt Island in the middle of Hotham Inlet at the lower right.

Here's a mostly completed detail map.

    mapfinalthqp7.png

    mapfinalbhul9.png

Here's a few pics at this linkie

    North end of Pratt Island

of the area of the island in and around the hamlet of Willoughby.

Back to mapping.  I think I'm getting better at this.  I've got to work out a saved file format that doesn't induce distortion or artifacting.  It's clear that saving them as .png files is the way to go.

Hope I'm not boring folks to tears with this.  It'll be worth it- I promise.

    Later.

EDIT:  (8/13/06) Swapped out .jpg map format for .png to improve quality.  It Works!  (8/15/06) Added linkie to pics of Willoughby area.

Watch out AAA, google, and the many others out there... there's a new source for high-quality maps. Quite impressive results you have there; and the details are amazing (notably the little peak symbol and elevation for the mountains e.g. Wild Horse Hill). No worries abou tthis being boring, it's good to see what can be done around here (and incidentally, it's already worth it).

I'm not bored. I like detailed maps, so I look forward to when you get all the mapping done!
