Very nice job there John.  I hadn't noticed before, but great use of the industrial alley ways.  They look great where you have them.

I told you I'd queried the fountain in Osgiliath, I really think it's an in game one, cause the query only say Large fountain, so!
If it's not then perhaps another reader could help, perhaps it's part of a pack that I downloaded but I seriously doubt it!

I have missed a couple of updates since my RL is a bit tough at the moment but you have made some excellent progress.

I take it that you are on the right track with Osgiliath now and in that case I am happy that things have worked out for you.

    Hey D,

3 updates to catch up on I see...well, an update, some question/answers and a mosaic actually. 17.gif

Thanks for advertising the Modular Theme Park Pack (MAPP) Thread when you answered my last comments.  We all appreciate all the help we can get with putting the word out on the street about this set.  Thanks again. 19.gif

I really like the update, especially your use of the Japanese train station...I just like how it looks.  I like it, but haven't had a chance myself to use it yet.  I also like your use of Dan's security check-point...it looks great.  I only have one idea for you though...maybe use diagonal roads to connectthe entrance to the plant.  It may just look a little more visually appealing...that's all.  No big deal.  9.gif2.gif

The mosaid looks great.  I wonder if I'll be able to get any of Tarrytowne to post...we'll see.

Great work... keep em coming... 44.gif

Hey, glad to see you back! I really appreciate your comment about the natural look, I try to achieve that, sometimes it's good sometimes it's not. About the passport I still do, it's just a little token of appreciation.
    Nice to read you again.
    Take care

    Nardo
Glad to help! about LPS, Dan's gate came just at the right moment! I was finishing the incinerator overall setup at the time, so it was perfect timing! The station, I think it was in the japanese thread, I'll check something tonight it also maybe from a japanese site, I'll keep you informed.
About the highway, I like to put them on land that would be otherwise hard to develop and if it can serve as a divider between two communities, all the better!
Take care my friend and have a great week

    Dan (twice)
Hey D, about the link don't mention it, it's only natural.
I think I've downloaded the updated lot, it's just that when I took the pic, it was not. But I'll look into it to be sure. The residential sector is in fact more of a continuation of Minas Tirith, I'll try to do a combined picture of that particular border. And if I remember correctly, the first time I saw that station, was in Mikebear's Greater Marsalia... not sure though. I'lll try to find a link.

The weekend was....grey 30.gif and rainy, but hey, I had the time to fiddle with the Lot Editor as you know, that and a football game (watching, not playing) 18.gif .

About the alleyways (in your second comment) they were almost an afterthought! we have so much choices now, that sometimes we forget! I would have placed perhaps more of them this time around.
And thanks about the welcome to page 47! ---you believe that! 47 46.gif--- and be prepared for it, cause you're CJ is coming fast!

That's about it, have a great week my friend, and salutations to your family.

    Jacky (twice)
Don't be sorry about going slowly, to each is playing style no problem there! I'm sure it'll be worth the while! And thanks for your good words about the mosaic!

    meinhosen (twice)
Thanks for your kind words meinhosen, yeah it's going a bit better in Osgiliath, I think that from now on I'll try to plan better before commencing those big cities. It seems that everybody likes that railway station hey! I'll do my best to find a link tonight.
And don't mention it about the fountain thing, just trying to help, as I often say, I got so much help and inspiration here, that I'm glad to return the favor in a fashion!

    I was almost forgetting.

Your attention to details is amazing. The church fits in perfectly in the area. The mayors parking next to the farm is a tiny detail but makes a lot of difference. Overall a nice update except for one tiny detail. I think you meant Fuddruckers Restuarant when you said Olive Garden. It happens to all of us sometimes.

    Have a nice week.

    Alek
I try to make it as natural as possible, for my farms, I do take a lot of inspiration in LPC, Dan's a master farmer! And speaking of details, I really think that you're one of those who takes attention to them. Folks, do pay a visit to
Brastoval Bay Area , if you want to see a superbly done CJ!

    Thanks for your support Alek!

    Sandra
I should have better illustrated what I meant. I was going to put the following picture in the update, but didn't had the time to finish it properly, so here's what should have been posted, or at least added to the update. It was the Olive Garden near the Highway which was in fact demolished.

This is the situation before and after the road construction, I was not sure about using the pics, because it was taken with a reverse angle. 34.gif

It's good to know that you pay attention to what I write, (I'm really not the best typist there!) 18.gif

Thanks for your keen eye and good whishes Sandra!

    Take care everyone

There you go again, showing off..2.gif

The Church is a nice addition and placed just where I would expect to see it in RL.

The new highway access is nicely done and the billboards near the interchange are a really nice touch John.

I really like the bigger overview.  The farming areas give the appearance of being seperate small communities not uncommon in my little part of the world.

Very nice job with the Mayor's house and Farm and the addition of the parking is also a nice touch.  Hopefully the Mayor's staff provide a small golf cart to move his guests to the main house2.gif

Hey I hope you had a good time playing with the LE.  I really liked the stuff you showed me and as far as believing that you are on page 47....Well, I can absolutely believe it...Enjoy the week my friend.

Hey, great work on that farm with the trails and the entrance and the parking place! Looks great!

I like how you combined the little church with some commercial at the main road and put the rersidential a bit aside .. good layout!

    Keep that work!

11_01 & 11_05 are absolutely outstanding.  You've got a great eye for pics with a good angle on what you're showcasing, but you also have a good eye to include the surrounding countryside as well.  Just fantastic.

I've just looked through the last few updates and the one on 9/16 was the one IMO, that stood out the most. That is so realistic how you have the security sectors, fences, and the RSO pipes going underground into the plant. Just how creative.. is that?

Next, the Mosaic.. excellent work, I am really glad to see the industrial, and high-tech industrial sectors which are some what considered dirty and nasty in such a beautiful fashion, nice!

Also, it's nice seeing all of these new people becoming citizens in Anduin Valley. I remember when I was one of the first citizens in here, and it's nice to see so many new faces!

    Take Care, my friend.

Darmok, i can only say that your CJ is an inspiration to everyone out there trying to make nice eye-candy cities! I can't stop stearing at them!! I love also the names of the cities, very well used 44.gif.
Now, just one thing, how did you make the tar of highway have that darker color? 42.gif I love dark colored highways because that's mainly what we have where i live, and i think they look very nice.

tks a lot and keep those updates comming!!!!29.gif

    Dan
What can I say, the devil made me do it! 11.gif
Well no, 20.gif not the church, that could not have been the devil! 18.gif it's just that that particular location reminded of a little village near my hometown, and that spot looked inviting, so I BLASTED (that was the devil!) the commerce, and plopped the church 12.gif.
As for the interchange I would have liked to keep the Olive Garden, but it would have meant re-terraforming (is that a real word?) the little hill behind and I liked it too much to change it.

Where's your spirit of adventure? They WALK to the farm, so, for a couple of minutes they can enjoy the fragrant odors 2.gif of that wonderfull farm and when they arrive at the farm, they state their business all the more quickly! 2.gif

Yeah I had fun with the LE, didn't really had the time since though, but I think I'm beginning to get the hang of it. More on this later.

And as for the 47 pages, I have to thank you and all the persons who are posting here regularly!

    Take care my friend!

    Nardo
Hi Nardo, well I was looking at the farm and while it's fun to connect it with a TE entrance, I thought that something was missing, and then I thought of a small parking space, in this particular case, PEG's eye candy parking lots.

This particular church is with the white one that I used in the small res sector near the high school in Dol Amroth my favorite one. They are great looking and you can't miss with them.

Nardo it's always a pleasure to have you here, take care!

    Jacky
Thanks Jacky, more on the church in Nardo's answer 49.gif

    YAH
Thanks man! well as for the trail on the farm lot, the lot is done that way. The rest stop is less complete in a way cause the restaurant is gone, but hey! Fuddruckers is just a minute away on the road, and at least now the village has a more direct connection to the highway.
    Have a good week buddy!

    meinhosen
Hey meinhosen, well as I said to Decola, I know it's not a big deal, it's more of a token of appreciation for those who post here regularly, my way of saying thanks for your support.

And for the church pics, how can someone goe wrong with that kind of lot? It's so great looking you can't miss!

    See you in  Ralston!

    Chris
Hey Chris, I had a lot of fun, (and headaches LOL) playing with the pipeline lots. In an industrial setup they're practically unavoidable. And they are so flexible you can do almost anything you want with them!

Glad you liked the mosaic, I should do that more often, it's a great way of getting a better look at a city!

I'm always pleased to see new visitors here, and I'm honestly surprised to already be at page 47, whew! It seemed like I started this only yesterday, but it's now practicaly 8 months. I'm really amazed of the support all of you are giving to Anduin Valley. And glad too! NOD
    Take care man!

    KOSC
    Thanks KOSC. 44.gif

    sorchin
Hey sorchin, glad to see you again!

The pipes are a separate lot, I should say lots, at least 12 or more different pieces, it's like a puzzle, and they are great to work with!
    Click
here  to download them. They're the one's made by decius (regular and rural), but I'm sure that the one's made by madawac shlould also be great!

Thanks for your kind words, and do come back anytime, you're always welcome!

    kanella
    Welcome to Anduin Valley!
    Thanks for your compilments 43.gif

And for the asphalt highway mod, just cick here

    A picture

And here's a picture of the connection of Emyn Arnen, Minas Tirith and Osgiliath. In this pic the very top part is the western border of Osgiliath, the bottom part is the residential sector of Emyn Arnen and the right side is Minas Tirith, you'll notice that some of the lots in Minas Tirith have a green tinge to them, I dont know what can cause that! Never saw that before, I tried to blast those lots and reploped them, but the green color stayed! Has anyone seen this before? It seems that all the transit oriented bat and lots (such has train stations, bus stops and the like)***Hearing the Twilight Zone theme**** 46.gif Now that's a mystery to me.

    And now the pic.

Darmok, I'm not 100% sure but it looks like the green tinge you get when you are viewing civic data. I don't remember now if there is a view for mass transit buildings in the original game but I think I have seen a mod (and even tried it in one city) that could locate those buildings. I just can't remember which mod it was in that case. That could be one tip for solving the mystery.

About the Olive Garden. Maybe I should pay more attention to the pics before opening my mouth, lol.

EDIT. I just saw that you wrote all transit BATS and LOTS. Did you install any new mods lately and are any of them transport related? That could be it.
