WELL....You are about to see pictures of me for the first time!!

As you all know, I live in the NYC metro area, I was in Manhattan this tuesday and My dad snapped some pictures of me in Grand central Station waiting for our Metro North(NYC's commuter rail tht goes to Westchester, putnam and dutchess counties and conn.) train. Metro north has 3 lines Harlem(goes north) Hudson(wich I take it hugs the Harlem and Hudsun rivers, my stop is Dobbs ferry, i than drive to my town,Ardsley) and New Haven(wich Duke can take it goes to Conn.)there are also two spurs west of the hudson that connect to New Jersey transit.

But anyways........

Joe: NY youth scene??

Id never be caught dead in any club in NYC(except a Metal one) there full of stupid rich-boy(or girl) prep-ass conformists!

I am the Urban explorer type, Im more likely to Go to Midtown or downtown with My dad, Duke or ONE of my friends to wander and look for traces of the past, and things were not suppost to see.

All of my friends are either Nerds or Metalheads so I uasally just go to thier house or hang out behingd the school swapping CD's. I also dont have many friends in my grade Most of them are in 7'th or 9'th rade, im the awkward 8'th grader.

All the clubs n NYC are either Adult ones(i.e. larry flint places, i know of two of these one in the Bronx by 138'th st. and one on the west side on 12'th ave. in Hells Kitchen) or Prep ones so i avoid the youth scene you speak of.

I have some good pics of the Chrysler building, 51'th street subway and the Empire state bldg. on my phone, ill upload them soon.

I know.  I think most of us who read your posts know you're into metal or Goth. 18.gif   I was just playing into a stereotype I grew up with. 3.gif

When I was growing up in the Midwest in the 70's I liked early British metal bands like The Who and Led Zeppelin or country flavored rock bands like The Eagles or Creedence Clearwater Revival.  Or basically any genre that you tell it's blues influence.  It fit into my shy but active cross country running adolescent lifestyle. I really couldn't take disco all that well.  Despite my wife affection for the '70's I still don't really care for it.  To me back then Disco had no soul.  But I'm much more open-minded now toward others' tastes and preferences. Anyway I think there is an active thread for this paragraph.21.gif

BTW, I know there's probably a connection to Beavis & Butthead but who or what in the world is a Cornholio??17.gif

Joe: NO im not goth23.gif IM INTO OLDSKOOL METAL!!!!!!!!!!3.gif Goths despise Iron Maiden, I love Maiden!

and Cornholio is this:
/idealbb/files/anibeav.gif
You see Joe Cornholio is Beavis's alter ego, he turns into him when he has to much caffine or perscription drugs!

If you want true urban explorarion, you got to come to Detroit where you can actually go in the buildings. Of course, they are abandoned, but it makes exploration more interesting! You have to ask the building owner for permission before going in though!

I don't understand why so many people are so afraid to post their photos here. What are we, a board full of mutants or something?

You know I don't think Vidioman meant anything by using gay. Whether or not you are, I doubt he meant it to be a personal attack. Shame on him if he did. I think that he said gay sarcastically, and the fact that it is very common for youth to say something is 'so gay' doesn't imply it is homosexual, rather, stupid30.gif. I hope that you guys can reach an understanding about this.

And some people (like me) would love to post their picture but have parents that won't let them. It's a whole privacy and annonymity isuse. My mom is paranoid about a lot of things. <mocking sarcasm> Posting my picture on the internet is letting the entire world know what I look like- which would help hackers and identity thieves get at us! Oh No!</mocking sarcasm>22.gif30.gif
Seriously, she's crazy. She already is very upset thet I've revealed my birthday, how old I am, and even what State I live in.....

Again, I promise, next year, I'll be in college, and then I'll post a pic of me here as soon as I can get my hands on one.

She's paranoid about lots of other things, too....

If you always take the same road, you will never see anything new.
If you can read this, you deserve a cookie.

I know lots of people that say gay like that, or use other words. When they say it in school, the teachers usually have really good comebacks for it. And it was to imply he's gay, because from what I've heard (and experienced in chat) he is. It's creepy... But he can't get me on msn. 11.gif

I never thought saying that would create such controversy. Oh well..
