Yes and no. If a the trafic plugin (that comes with NAM) is load first and then a custom trafic plug-in, it will be the speed set in the last plug-in that is going to set the speed.

this is simply increrable, you guys are doing an awesome work, I can't wait untill this is released, and nice choice on changing the monorail, as it is already faster by than the rail by default on the game.

Please keep on this amazing work.

vester_DK: Then the answer is yes ... as long as the NAM loads last. Thanks for answering. That was the answer I was hoping for. Excellent !!!

Believe in only what you can prove.

mjig_dudy: Looks pretty good. Maybe make the distance between the rafters to the double. Just a civil engineers first thought.

looks pretty nice so far... the more choices of stations the better....

I have a few ideas but i don't think im good enough at the BAT to model them myself... so well see how that works out. When i get home i'll change the actual speed ( i changed the visual speed last time ) and we'll see if it effects commuting enough... my goal is to count commuting from one side a large city to the other end count as "medium" commute time... maybe even count commuting through a city if we're lucky... i donna I'll look at it when i get home

Let's take a quick look at the possibilites of sunken puzzle pieces...

    sunken2xm.png

I'm thinking something like this, with built in lights and power gantrys

I want it to have the look of being sunken without actually having to lower the terrian or use more than one tile in width. Naturally it'd include road bridges and tunnel enterances ( etc. ) MAYBE it's possible to do sunken turns...

    road%5Fdualrailroad%2Ejpg

Kinda like what's going on in zilfondel's underpasses ( i can't find the orginal marrast ones on the stex )

i have the marrast ones in a zip, i think the ones on the STEX were toasted during the move. Of course the marrast ones didnt work right.

BTW, i think thats a really cool idea. also, could you make sunken pieces with a roof over them, like a plaza or a park. Ive been thinking about doing a street like lately but i cant figure out how to do it.

moshi - i love those trains, gret pics.

hamsterTK - i have the marrast ones and they work good for me, but reguardless of which one is used, it would under go some massive changes.  good idea though.

Murakumon - are you talking about really doing sunken rail/puzzel peice's or just ground rail on teriformed land so it looks sunken?

also, has anyone asked about tunnels for this network, and if so do you think that this will effect the speed of the network or change to different network such as say the el-rail to subway and back type of thing?

anyway, just some thoughts i had.  the work so far is great,

Moshi: Nice pictures. What trains are it ?

Please remember the former rule: Max Pictures size 800x600 px

If I remember right there where is some forum a patch for Marrasts underpasses, so it worked better.

Vester, the patch for Marrast's underpasses was an attachment which the move to the new ST deleted. I still have the zip somewhere. However, the lots were not compatiable with Left-Hand versions of the game.

This is fantastic. Just one comment though,

The highspeed rail from what i have seen makes urban to rural tansisitons often. I realize that the current network is above ground level which is fine, but i think it would look extreamly awkward if it were elevated in rural areas (sort of the reason why i dont use monorail now).

Anyways, great work, i realize its early yet, but it looks fantastic guys

I'm talking about ground puzzle pieces that have the appearance of being sunken... that way they only take 1 tile in width. As for tunnels, i think we're gonna make a HSR to subway connection... but the monorail tunnels still work

davidtothej: because of that we are making puzzle pieces for a ground version too. Which will fit better in rural areas.

Murakumon - that sounds good and that is what i though you were talking about.  i did not know that their were tunnels for the monorail - see how much we use the thing - 2.gif  if monorail has tunnels, then you might not need to do the sunbway transition, but it is a good idea, and i think it would give more options. so i would want it anyway.  do you think that you will be able to keep the same improved speed rates even during subway transition?

I think there should be a subway transition and the tunnel.

How is the Y piece coming? with that done, all you need is a station and the first version is ready to be released right?

I think you guys ougta release a 'lite' version before going ahead and creating all this fancy stuff like sunken lines. If there is a version out more people will come to help out this project and it'll get done faster.

    Teddy:

Ermm... I don't think keeping the same speed in a subway line is likely, i don't even know if it is possible...

    HamsterTK:

    NOBODY CARES WHAT YOU THINK.

18.gif lol, im just kiddding. Just wanted to do that. To answer your question seriously...

Yes, we'll release a beta version after pathfinding and the y-interchange are done ( not a station though ). And that idea of a LITE version is pretty good. If ya want i could *probably* send you the current .Dat file ( PM me with your e-mail or something )

    thanks guys 4.gif

Does anyone know what 3ddz is talking about? The original monorail models or what? Oh well...

Murakumon: Free samples? Oh, I want one! I mean, after all, I can't really test out my RUL experiments without it. And if the experiments work, you won't have to replace monorail! Hmph, I guess I'll have to go back to making my own mods. 2.gif
