About the permissions issue with releasing modded stations with the mod. Obviously people are going to want every station on the STEX modded to accept monorail traffic, which is simply not possible. You could include a tutorial for people to change the stations themselves.

Don't forget to apply the changes and save the file. For some reasons I keep the original lot but make sure that the modified one loads later

Just one advice: I have never succeeded with DatGen 15.gif, especially EasyTweaker plugin

For the sake of reality I would recommend to modd major/high capacity stations only, more the tracks, more the realism... you are free to disagree (although there are some small two-track stations on ICE Frankfurt-Cologne for example)

Heya

I've had a quick browse through the topic, and in my blonde wisdom haven't picked up on anything that would lead to a problem I have...

I'm having a few troubles with my rail networks, and the HSRP could be responsible.

My train automata on regular (heavy) rail, is being replaced with that of the HSR, despite there being no reason, and a plugin changing such automata to the Virgin Pendolino. Also, train carriage (i.e. the passenger cars, not the lead power unit) automata is being displayed incorrectly, as it flashes intermittently and appears at various angles.

The problem is generalised, however it seems exacerbated when train automata is spawned diagonally, less so orthagonally.

The only other plugin which could cause such issues is possibly the matching grass mod, as the problem occured at around the same time, and the base textures for the rails changed to the paved concrete style. As such I have removed this mod.

Any help with this issue will be greatly appreciated!

I think it's from the NAM; GLR on pedestrian malls 2.gif

I dunno anymore if these tiles were on the pedmall-thingy or on the glr-thingy.. just search for 'em.

EDIT:

oh sorry, on the screen there are cars driving on these tiles.. this definitely not from the nam.

GLR on street is amazing but GLR on road would be better for a higher capacity of cars. if you'd place this glr on street in a commercial district there would be a traffic chaos even though some people take the GLR. 4.gif

neither my hsr update (hsr on heavy rail), neither glr on street is available yet. honestly, i would need some support for it (aligning/enhancing textures, adding props and making it compatible with nam20 and rhw17) after passing the current experimental/content creation phase

The GLR on street looks amazing - it's probably the transit mod that I've been anticipating most (being a big fan of good ol'-fashioned streetcars myself). Good luck with the design and implementation - I can't offer any technical support whatsoever, but if you need any insights pertaining to the design features (e.g. transitions in and out of the street, stations, etc.), I'd be happy to help.

Once this project is successful, are you considering moving on to GLR on road and avenue (for the avenue, I was thinking the rails would take up the inner lanes, leaving the outer ones for automobile traffic and/or parking)?

Do you have any plans for an transit lot between the normal railways and the elevated HSRP - Rail? Like the transit Lot from EL - Rail to Subway? that would be nice to see.... (even better woud be, when the automatas could drive over that lot... but if thats not possibel it wuld also be very nice...)

I know... but my question was about a new ramp (not the one from the NAM) that will connect the HSRP with the commuter network... And another question: could you make catenarys that appears with the normal rail system by dragging? (like the ones at the HSRP)

Ok, I got it. I was just thinking about reskinning the el->ground heavy rail mentioned as a separate puzzle piece with hsr texture, but it would be basically still the same

catenary: do you mean overhead electric line/truss arch bridge/parabolic track curve?

I know that fact too.. But there are some problems by using these files... example: The train automatas disappear... or, If I use the double wide lot, change the tracks...

Maybe you coud come up with a HSRP- regular rail puzzle peice that would transfer to the elevated HSRP (HSRP inner lanes, normal rail Outer) with transit enabled lots for stations (Just like the Acela express in the US)

I didn't find any support tread on the forum so here my question: ive downloaded HSRP,installed it ive created a nice network between 5 cities (over 100 000 sims in each cities) and the HSR dont work nobody ride the train only the hub works with rail subway bus and elev. rail ive checked the route query and it still have nothing,help me please. but HSRP still rocks thanks

have you tried to drive your hsr train through the station? if it disappears your station is not connected to the track. fyi hsr is very sensitive to ground elevation.

if the automata can be driven trhough it should be a transit design issue ~ hsr is not the optimum route between your cities
