Here's a page you'll find interesting.

I still can't get over how increadable the battle was. You clearly knew the objectives when when they were to be completed beforehand, but of course everyone runs into problems. The explosions and epic use of CGI made this battle more intense than any other in the series!

(And this is coming from someone who really only watches the show for the battlestar battles.) 3.gif

Haven't gotten the test results back yet. I have a follow appointment on April 13th, so I'll probably find out then what's going on. I can say that my blood pressure is down from 285/220 to a more normal level of 100/68 in the last two weeks since my 36 hour stint in the hospital and I've gained 5 lbs now that my metabolism has slowed down. I'll be taking the four different blood pressure meds for the rest of my life, but still don't know if I'll be on any more meds for my other medical condition.

Primeval wasnt too bad, BBC America ran it last year.

    Santuary was much better though.

    they should rerun Firefly.

Easy Bakes - Haven't gotten the results back yet...go back for a follow-up on the 13th.

As for Primeval, the basis of the show is what is lame....there was a movie 4 years ago called A Sound of Thunder that was supposed to be a theatrical release, but went straight to video instead that used basically the same plotline with a few minor differences. I'll peobably watch the first couple of episodes, but if it's really got a lot of cheese, I'll have to find something else to watch.

Just a reminder to all BSG fans, Caprica [the pilot episode] was released on DVD yesterday. It is available at Amazon.com relatively cheap [think I paid 16.98 for it when I ordered it a few weeks ago] compared to retail store....my copy is in the mail.

What did everyone think of Caprica?

Personally almost stopped watching it after 45mins, but glad I stuck with as the second half was definately better, can see a fair few possible plots etc.

The first few minutes nearly had me off 4.gif , but I thought it was quite good, not as good as BSG is, but then it was only the pilot.

btw did anyone notice that the nightclub was the opera house (or either extremely like it)?

Looking forward to more(hopefully a little less of the nightclub though)

    Possible spoilers:

Yeah I noticed that, which made me start thinking about the first hybrid being made there (I presume the girl is going to be the first hybrid) and with her being in the Opera House perhaps its supposed to vaguely represent the beginnings of the cyclons interpretation of heaven and god in BSG or some such.

BSG was definately better, even after just the pilot, but I think it will grow to be quite good.

The girl (Zoe Im guessing you mean) is not a hybrid, she's the first cylon I think, the base. Though I'm not sure how her Dad (what his name?) managed to get here downloaded and working again(I just knew he was going to corrupt her data and I was thinking "aren't you going to make a backup?"). Also why would she shoot up all those robots(it is not what I think she would do), she must be not fully in control of her self.

And The young Will Adama is actually the Admiral right?

And on another note, about Tigh.

If he only arrived at the 12 colonies from Earth after the 1 Cylon war(the FF thing, they were the reason the first war stopped) how did Adam know Tigh before or during the first war?

Or did they only meet after the 1st war I cant remember?

Yeah sorry, I was in a rush earlier and didnt type exactly what I meant.

I meant that as she is at some level presumably concious (albeit not in total control) within the Centurion (seen as it did much better at shooting the robots when she was in it) that presumably she somehow influences the Centurions when they design of the hybrids, and thus is ultimately the original creater of the hybrids... If you see where I'm coming from 9.gif

Most intriguing. They have a couple of writing defects, the most serious of which is you don't salute unless you are wearing a hat. Smells like Star Trek, the prequel and Star Wars. Ho, hum. Also shades of Karel Capek's R.U.R.(1920). If you've never read this play you don't know where the word robot came from.

I love battlestar its one of my faverote Sci-fi shows and amoung one of the best shows I have seen on TV, it was fantastic to learn that after sitting on this for a year the SCI-Fi channel have finnaly sought to release this pilot through Machinima. Also next year you can see it in full on the Sci-Fi... sorry I mean scy-fy or what ever its called now! Also on unrated DVD release next year.

As for the episodes 1+2 I thought they where pretty amazing considering the lack of budget they had for this show though the excessive lens flare can be a little distracting, I know this was deliberate to conceal the blending of greenscreen effects with live actors as the original sets where desposed of.

All in all I can't believe this show didn't get commisioned as a full series by sci-fi its like a dry desert for space based sci-fi at the moment :-(. But then again the scy-fy channel isn't really a Science fiction channel anymore :-(.

If you want something about the interaction of robots and humans, I'd like to see someone make either a TV series or a movie out of the Caves of Steel by Isaac Asimov, along with the sequel The Naked Sun. Both of these novels are prequels to the Foundation Trilogy.

Unfortunately, Caves has been Bowdlerized by lifting Lije Bailey into that monumental stinker called I Robot. A general pile of refuse ever dreamed up by a screenwriter whose producer must have had something on him.

No, Syfy cancelled it before it even got past the pilot being filmed, plus this is the series that Caprica was cancelled for. Syfy no longer cares about sci-fi, all they seem to care about is this so-called reality programming. Yawn.

The "reality" programming subjects are all too aware of the camera, so where is the reality there?

There is no reality thats why these so called 'reality shows' are a complete pile of tosh... Unfortunantly thats the only type of TV show that seems to be made or popular these days.
