I've watched and re-watched the mid-season finale Revelations more than a dozen times wondering where this all heading. The one thing that has stuck in my mind since Sci-Fi showed clips of the final 10 episodes is something about a final prophecy. I wonder if this final prophecy means that Earth is not their final destination, that the promised land lies elsewhere and Earth is another signpost along the way. It's was said in the scriptures that the dying leader would lead them to the promised land, but would not live to set foot in it. Or maybe the final prophecy reveals that it's the 5th who is the one that is 'orchestrating all of this' and is actually the Cylon God.

That's presuming the planet even was ours that they landed on.. Considering we saw no recognisable landmasses from orbit.

First off, I never said it was 'Earth' that they found, but if it is Earth, then that leads one to question if Earth was the 'Promised Land' the scriptures speak of. What are your thoughts on the final prophecy? I'm interested in hearing what others think and tossed out a couple of ideas in my previous post that I've been mulling over since the mid-season finale.

I cannot recall where I heard this but the last of the ruins seen on Earth before the end of Revelations is actually the Brooklyn Bridge.

If this is correct, then its not too far from the present. Something to think about...

I think in the coming episodes they will find some humans on Earth (Earthlings?), and learn a bit about whatever happened there. Maybe the Cylons bombed it?

I doubt it was the Cylons because it seems the Cylons were made sometime when the 12 colonies were established..not sure...but I'm thinking the humans on earth blew eachother up in some nuclear war, and the people of the 12 colonies are the humans that fled Earth when it was on the brink of war...? dont know...but I really want to know where they go from the mid season finale...

The more I look at the Trailer, the more I don't think it looks too bad at all.

Sure, they've contradicted much of Star Trek canon, but that was probably inevitable. It'd be nice if some things, such as keeping the Enterprise look the same, having it not built on the ground, stuff like that.

My main gripe is WHAT THE HECK have they done to the interior design of the Enterprise?! White, shiny, it looks more advanced than the 29th Century Ship Relativity...it's not circular, it's got these random workstations in the middle of the room. It looks nothing like the original bridge design. It looks like it was designed by Apple. The corridors too; they are ultra reflective and curved. It's not only contradicting TOS, but also the design elements of all the other Star Trek series too.

Nevertheless, Spock looks very good, and I'm loving Scotty.

Another problem I have is that it's so full of CGI and battle scenes, and of course sex. It doesn't really go with the Star Trek ethos, but I guess they are trying to appeal to a new audience.

It looks like a good film, which I'm honestly surprised at. It looks different, and it should attract a lot of new viewers. I'll probably go see it. I just wish they'd made it a reboot of the series; then I wouldn't have such a problem.

(Any one notice in the scenes on Earth, those gigantic towering skyscrapers in the distance? That look like they belong to a Sci-fi game skybox? How bizzare.)

What a twist? only one cylon/human cross breed left. and Tigh and Baltars cylon are preggers.

So what does that mean? that only the the final five are breeders to other cylons?

But  a human can breed with the other cylon  models

Well I wouldn't dare check this thread if I wasn't up to date.

Why take over the ship? They're on the verge of being wiped out and they somehow think killing more and disrupting order is going to somehow fix this thing?

With all the internal firefights and the visible damage from the outside, I wonder how much longer that Battlestar will last...

All I know is that Gaeta should be shot out of the airlock when Adama gets his hands on him. I also hope that Helo gets a crack at the jerk from the Pegasus who threatened to 'rape' Athena. Helo will tear him apart, I know I would. As for the feeling I'm getting on what will bring the fleet back together is this:

I'm beginning to wonder just how many of the 39,000 or so humans left are going to survive this mutiny? And the allied Cylons. I get the feeling that while the in-fighting that is going on and their attention averted, the fleet is going to get caught with its pants down by Cavil's group, who suddenly pays them a visit by popping back into existence with guns blazing......there's still that question of destroying the resurrection hub and I'm sure Cavil and his group are none to happy about that.

What do you guys think? There's only 7 episodes left and they do have to wrap that particular issue up before the series ends.

I'm still wondering if Tigh was killed when the mutineers tossed the grenade in the sealed off basement of the Galactica at the end of this past Fridays episode.  If they did kill him off, then I really don't see the point of revealing him as one of the final five.  It makes no sense at this time for them to do that, especially with the prospect of Ellen re-appearing.  I lao don't think that Gaetas little band of mutineers are going to be successful in the execution of Adama with Lee and Kara still lurking about Galactica.

I tell ya, this show has so many intricacies it's difficult to guess what's going to happen next.  But is fun to do so.

What  an action packed episode.I was supprized the senerio ended this week. But Zarek and Gaeta went way over the line,especialy Zarek.

I'm glad the mutiny saga is over with. To me, 2 episodes in a row that didn't deal with revealing any answers to the many questions that need answering felt more like filler episodes just to kill off a few dozen more in the fleet. Don't get me wrong, they were great episodes, but I'm getting antsy for the answers. 

Now we can get to the important stuff, mainly the answers to all the questions we've been waiting for with the final 6 episodes. Answers to the questions like who or what is Starbuck, who's pulling the strings or orchestrating all of this, how the final five are resurrected when they are supposedly different from the other 7 models, who will survive and who won't by the finale, whether or not everyone are really Cylons, what's the deal with the Head Sixes and the Head Baltar, the mystery of the opera house......the list goes on and on. Are there any mysteries that need answering I forgot to list?
