Bobbo your amazing with your work and detail. I solved the problem (sort of) by putting a ZZZ in front of the overlay texture you were using. This is at least a temp fix for people till it all get straightened out.

Question the WAWA will the LE allow me to angle it ( the building) for a corner lot or does it have to be BATed that way?

Both have been done by Simgoober and can be found on the STEX, unless you had a particular style in mind.

I just want to add that I'm looking forward to getting at your BATs as well.  I've just returned to the game after several months, and I've been rebuilding my plugins directory.  The absence of your buildings will be noticed.

Hey Bob as i said i would find pics of Huck's and here we go.  I was in Rockford last week and tried to get a few shots myself but it didn't work out so i tried again for a search on Huck's and this what i found is from alveysigns.com case studies Huck's.  I hope this is the type of shots you where looking for and any other info you need let me know and i will find it out thank you - patrick

    I was gonna ask why your Burlington Shopping Plaza and your Hyvee were locked by admin., but after reading back a few pages I think you might be redoing them.    Any idea how long it might be before they are back up?   I don't mean to sound like I am rushing you.  I was just curious.

     BTW, how's the infection doing.   Did the hospital stay help?   I hope so.   I hate staying in the hospital.

I've been busily working or I should say re-doing my lots, retexturing my Buildings, and fixing the Parent Cohort that Ripplejet pointed out to me, plus with his kind help, he's also been giving me pointers on other items that has help me to grow.

Here's a new Wal-Mart I've done.  My buildings are resized, no more 10x10's or larger, unless they are strip malls - but this Wal-Mart is on a 6x6 CS$1 lot.

A Wal-Mart Supercenter that I've done for an ST member, who wanted it for his city journal this one is large I think it's like 16x14 or something but it's large, it's suppose to be the largest Wal-Mart Supercenter in North America.  Here's what it looks like

I also made some pizza joints - Domino's, Little Caesar's Pizza! Pizza! - they are on 2x2 and 3x3 lots - growable and plop. They should be up shortly.

I also made a more modern Pizza Hut - a 3x3 lot too:

Then I revamped BJ's Wholesales club, totally different style, resized it to a 6x7 lot - though I was using SC4jeeks parking overlays, and they are missing as you can see in the  pictures, this is why I am also redoing my lots:  Here's a pix.

I also re textured the following:  

Circuit City

The 60's Retro Safeway, I resized it retextured it and fixed the pollution radi so it doesn't go balistic in your city or a nuclear melt down - here's a shot: It's now on a 6x6 lot

a new one that I  made - a 60's Retro Albertson's on a 6x6 lot:

A new one well, re-designed and style, more of a modern look - a Giant or Super Giant, that are located in the DC metro (VA, MD) area also on a 6x6 lot:

and then I've revamped the Wawa gas station to a smaller scale, and on the Wawa I placed the canopies diagnolly (did I spell that right?) here is the screen shot in game:

and then my Red Roof Inn, which I kinda revamped as well:

So, I'm busy redoing  my lots, retexturing, etc to make them better for you.  Some of these will be reposted sometime soon.  Bobbo.

Well, I try to make a committment in my work, though, I'm always learning everyday - especially from other's who are way advance than what I can do!  It's great to have a community that can work together.

Here's something I've been working on - it's a Texaco Star Mart, this one will replace the old Texaco station that I have in my files.  It's similar to the Phillips 66 - but of course this should fit on a 3x3 or 4x4 CS$1 lot.  Here's what I've done so far in Gmax.

Haven't posted here before, but being someone who builds a lot of lower-density, suburban areas, all the stuff your producing really adds to the realism.  For that, you have my sincere gratitude.  All the new stuff looks fantastic, and I'm looking forward to eventually having these pop up in my cities.

sometimes I have a hard time designing cities because it seems like every bit of retail of the STEX only appears to be under 4 years old, and I need stuff thats been around a while

I was thinking, maybe you could do something with the circuit city, and also the walmart. What you could do is make a second abandoned version and package it with the regular version as a plop with slight nimby effects. , remove all signage(but leave the trim and paint job) and board up the windows and empty out the lot. That way we could illustrate the very common phenomenon of empty 70's-80's era big box shells blighting older suburban areas after the stores decide to head out to newer areas in the late 90's.

Ive seen in lots of towns where there is two walmarts: an abandoned one in town that was of the smaller type, and a big super one out on the freeway. Maybe we could do that in simcity?

@woodenshoes- I think most of Bobbo662's progress can be found at www.sc4devotion.com in the forums there. you have to sign up, but some BATers along with most of the BSC team have moved their threads over there (although they still lurk and post here too).
