I guess I should introduce myself.. I've been lurking here for a few months and cheated by making a few posts before posting on this thread. 43.gif

My real name is Tina and I live in Sweden. I've called myself diffuze on the net ever since I my first modem. I'm 35 years old and I love computer games.

Games I've been/I am addicted to, in no particular order:

Quake2
Quake3
The Sims
SimCity3000
SimCity4 RH
Kyodai Mahjongg

I also love webdesign and graphic design and have a reputation of changing site layouts as often as one changes underwear.. I used to but I've settled down a bit on that department (changing layouts .. =p)

If you want, you can visit my websites and that way maybe get to know me a bit better.
My blog is at http://diffuze.modblog.com  and my Quake3 site (I make levels) is at http://www.planetquake.com/diffuze ..43.gif

Well.. that's about it I guess! 35.gif

Aloha! 35.gif

My name is Lawrence and I'm from Honolulu, Hawaii (close enough, and I know my town) I'm 12, almost 13 and I go to middle school, Moanalua Middle School. I've had Lone_MC for a while, and I have used Cactaur55 as a tribue to my friend who bought me the Rush Hour expansion for me. 43.gif I got lots of good friends! I would have used Lone_MC, and it's a backup profile for me. I have no clue what Cactaur55 is, but Lone_MC is Lone Wolf, for Tribes 2, and MC, the abbreviated version of Master Chief, the her in Halo. I wouldn've used Angel Wings Zero, as I was major gundam fan, but as I didn't see it for a while, I let it go.

Was this the right way to write this? 42.gif

I'm a 31 year old management consultant from New York City.  I've been playing since the original SimCity.  I spend a lot of time on planes and in hotels so its a pretty good way to busy myself.  You also get some pretty good ideas for city layouts seeing them from 10000 feet.

I actually studied civil engineering and architecture in undergrad.  When you think about it, this game is really the only practical use I ever made out of that degree.30.gif

My girlfriend who I live with has expressed concerns about my apparent addiction.

G'day all. I'm Kenny from sunny Queensland, Australia. Beautiful one day, perfect the next. I'm from Gladstone but have recently moved to Brisbane to become a teacher (or rather learn how to be a teacher). The only other thing of interest that I do besides play computer games, is make chainmaille (armour made from rings, not the annoying stuff in your letterbox).

Hey everyone. My name is Mike, and I live just outside of New York City. I'm a freshman currently in Mepham High School, (14 years old). I like to play tennis, go to the beach (lots of beaches on long island) and hang out with my friends! I am fairly new at Sim City 4, I really started in Dec. 2003. I found Simtropolis much later, in July of 2004, because I started my own msn group and was affiliated with Sim City 4 Help on Groups msn. Well now I have ditched that stupid site and moved onto a more better and friendlier environment, Simtropolis!!!

I don't know if your allowed to post pics in this thread, so I wont.

It seems to me that alot of the people where introduced to the simcity universe by the SNES version of the original simicity. To tell you the truth I was biten by that bug too.

Iam also a addicted to Flight Simulator 2004.
A good site to get Flight Simulator 2004 is at:

Even though I've been on Simtrop for about five months now, I finally got out of the CJ section and discovered a vibrant and diverse community of fun and interesting people. 37.gif Well, better late than never...

Hi everyone, my name is Ken and I'm a chef from Cape May , NJ, USA . If you don't know where that is you can check the link to my CJ at the bottom ( shameless plug, I know). I'm 44, but like to think of myself as being 18 on my second life , life after cancer, that is. I'm single, but still hopeful. I've been playing the SC series since the original, and have been through all of the sequels and spinoffs. My first PC was a Radio Shack Trash-80 lv 1. ( for you youngins who haven't been to a museum, it had 4K of RAM, a B/W monitor, and programs were loaded from a cassette tape!14.gif) . Between 1988 and 1993 I was the sysop of Lunker Lake BBS , a proud member of the Wildnet family. In those days, we'd be amazed to send off an e-mail from New Jersey to California and receive a reply within three days. Thankfully, all that was made obsolete by the Internet.
I'm an avid surf fisherman , and that's where the handle Jetty Jockey comes from, since a lot of my time is spent fishing from jetties , seawalls, and other oceanside structures. My SC4 time is pretty much limited to nights, rainy days and winter. When the choice of spending a day off comes down to being on a beach somewhere or being in a 10' x 8' windowless room with no air conditioning, the beach wins every time ! Other games I play are Railroad Tycoon , Roller Coaster Tycoon, and Civilization, when time allows. My ugly mug shot is posted in the Post your pics thread.
Nice to meet y'all !

P.S. Do you have any idea how long it took to read this entire thread on a dialup connection ? It just may cause me to reconsider my ongoing feud with Comcast, my local cable provider.

Hi there,

my name is Martin, I am 30 years old and I am living in a small town near Hamburg, in the northern part of Germany (Europe). I joined ST some days ago. I played Sim City 2000 a long time and because ofg a lack of time I never played SC4 a lot. But 2 weeks ago I started again. And watching the internet I saw a lot of people making lots, bats etc. Fantastic works and RESPEKT! for that!!

After finishing my studies of economics in Hamburg I started as a real estate broker. We are specialized on industrial buildings and offices. So as you can guess I am very interested in skyscrapers, builings and industrial buildings. So SC4 is fantastic for me to play.

But I am a real beginner in that. I just started to see and understand the conections and functions of SC4. Of course I build a lot of cities but the think big thing of a whole region is a matter of its own...

My dream is to rebuild the whole area of Hamburg. If somebody could transform a region like this it would be great!! Hamburg lies directly near the river Elbe and has got a lot of small towns and cities around. The Alster is a water in the middle of Hamburg and there are a lot of small canals all through the city. So Hamburg got more bridges than Amsterdamm, London and Venice together!! That would be nice to build....

So now I have to start working again, my boss is coming 9.gif
