Hola amigo,

Simply beautiful, it look so peacefull!
Everytime I see your work it reminds me of what we often say about great performers in any kind of art It looks so easy! and yet to achieve such elegance in simplicity is VERY HARD and require talent, but you manage it time after time, every detail is so well tought of, that it blends perfectly in the whole concept! 16.gif
Superb work Jero, just superb. 44.gif

Take care

Sa Pusa looks like it has a great start. How do you get the grain elevators to develop? It's not that I want them, it's just that I've never gotten one to develop on farmland in my cities. Also, the experiment is amazing. Did you have to meld the pictures together to make it look like that? By the way odd means strange, or weird.

I think you're the only one who can't get the to develop RHF 17.gif

Whenever I zone farmland, thats all i get, so i have to bulldoze the elevators and have it grow in again.

BTW very nice picture!

It's not like I want them, it's just they never develop. Do they grow on the Euro tileset? That's really the only tileset I use, so I get plenty of good-looking old-school barns, but no stinky grain elevators. Forget it!

Hello, Jeroni.

First, just a few replies to your comments.

Thank you for the link to the Egg Factory.  That will come in very handy as I progess with my development of what will eventually become a CJ of my own.

I appreciate your sharing the sizes of your city tiles.  It is good information to have as I view and review what you've built up to this point.

I like the way you are very careful to try and keep all of the piece parts of regions fitting together as seamlessly as possible.  It really does help keep a sense of togetherness when viewing the region.

I do understand about the ultra-rich resort and the problems that face you when considering such an idea -- especially since you are trying to keep your region as realistic as possible.

Now, on to your latest update.

What wonderful way to start out this update!  I do enjoy seeing how you transform a plain city setting into the final product -- a thriving, living city!

45.1 and 45.2  I very much like the fact that you are not intimidated by Mother Nature -- rather, you dictate to her what the landscape will look like by applying your terraforming skills.  Very nice work on shaping the river to get the banks just right.

45.4  What are you using for your dirt road?  Are you using Trolca's Dirt Road Mod?  If so, are you not using streets at all (since Trolca's mod replaces them) or, are you laying down the dirt roads, removing the mod and then using streets?

45.7 I like this view of the valley -- specifically the way the landscape drops off downhill.  Do you have any idea as to the approximate grade of your main road into the valley?  It looks to be a bit steep and certainly would be a problem in Winter weather!  < grin >

45.8  I do like the stream winding its way down the mountain to (I assume) the river below.  Your dirt road connector blends in very well in this scene.

Thanks again, Jeroni, for sharing this wonderful CJ with all of us.  I look forward to your next update.

Regards,

Vandy

In the end you will see, You is you and me is me.

Great job with the picture.  That must have taken some work to get them lined up perfectly.

Really like the effect though.

The last update was awesome, I like those Technical updates that show how you terraform and show us how you use the Concrete walls. I think Sa Pusa is once again looking great. One thing I have always liked about it is the wierd culture touch you have the medditeranean Houses with the rural background. Once again great update !

OMG! I don't just like that picture, I absulutely LOVE it!!! It's so amazing, I can't belive my eyes! There is only one tiny little thing that is bugging me. At the top of the picture, where the houses are, I can see a mondern condo, and I think it doesn't really fit in well. Maybe if you could destroy it 11.gif...

Apart from that, it's beautiful! Keep up the good work!44.gif

In the spirit of Harry Caray:  HOLY COW!  That was cool.  I think no other praise is necessary for the beginning of this page.

I work for the US Army. I go places, visit mean people, and kill them.

Winston Churchill is generall credited for saying something to the effect of: "People sleep soundly in their beds because rough men stand ready to do violence on their behalf". That about sums up my life, besides the "rough men" part.

I'm not sure if this has been asked before or not, but are you using a terrain mod? The higher altitudes appear nice and green with you, as with me they are a naff brown, untill the snow zone that is.

    Hello, Jeroni.

Thank you for the link to the Tar Sealed Streets.  I will try this over the weekend and see how it works.  Until then, I have a  quick questions concerning Tar Sealed Streets.  I cannot tell from the description or Readme file if this Mod (Texture?  Lot?) includes dirt roads as well as paved roads.  I see in your last update that you are using some very nice dirt roads.  Am I to understand that theyare part of Tar Sealed Steets or not?  Thanks, in advance, for your reply.

    Regards,

That explains it. My only town with farms has only 9,000 people. Guess I need more...isn't Pedriana the name of a residential building in the game? Pedriana Manor? Looks like somebody at Maxis is lazy...
