What is your favorite comic strip?

Foxtrot, Zits, Garfield, Calvin and Hobbes (own a ton of books). And Mother Goose and Grimm - as a note, I live in Sarasota, the same place the cartoonist of the strip lives. I believe I've met him as well. Grimm is the closest thing to Farside, which was also great.

I hate the majority of comic strips out there, but the Far Side and Mother Goose & Grimm ones are my favorites.

Nobody mentioned Outland, yet.  Maybe because it hasn't been around in about 10 years.

Let's see, I own a fair few graphic novels, but they aren't comics per se. My favourite is Watchmen by Alan Moore and David Gibson. I own Far Side anthologies, and I visit www.penny-arcade.com , for a does of Geek humour, www.whiteninjacomics.com , because they are odd, and www.creaturesinmyhead.com . Also, because they are odd.

Gary Larson used to write this funny little strip called 'FarSide.' Also he grew tired of writing and has since quit.

I now enjoy 'Foxtrot,' 'One Big Happy,' and 'Zits.'

Oh yeah, forgot to mention Non Sequiter. While I don't always agree with its stance on issues (it isn't a political strip per say, but it does have an occasional political themed strip), it is still, very funny and good.

I can tell you what my least favorite is.

The Family Circus.  The level of detest-ment I feel towards that cartoon knows no bounds.

Yeah, FC and Garfield are nearing the end of their lifespan, as is Better or Worse, though it's not really a funny strip in the first place.

And like yellowlab, I despise the family Circus.

I love Calvin & Hobbes, but I've read Waterson's stuff about it, and I think it's all a big pocket of grade A Hot Air. He talks about The artictic integrity of Calvin and Hobbes and how the newspapers are pushing him down by not giving him the entire page for his strip. It's really funny though, so I will continue reading it, though it's sad to not have new ones coming out.

I'm also a huge fan of a strip called Baby Blues, which is about the average life of an average family with two kids. It may not sound like a recipie for hilarity, but trust me, it is! (www.babyblues.com)

I also like Dilbert quite a lot, and Scott Adams is really a very good author as well. Garfield's ok, but it's a lot of the same joke over and over again.

But i did notice Calvin and Hobes is Back again although in reruns, but even so it better then most  of the ons in the paper now.

I was very dissapointed in an Opus a few weeks ago which was almost word for word one Mr breathed did in the original Bloom County, just thought he was better then that.
