Ambulance range and ploppable placement

Hello Everybody,

I keep experiencing two problems, which I packed up into this post...

1. For some reason, when I try to increase the range of ambulance services for my clinics and hospitals, the range doesn't extend at all beyond about 85% funding available in a slider (100$ out of 120$ for a clinic). I'm not sure if this is a normal game mechanism or some kind of bug? The ambulance range won't extend further, even if the funding keeps increasing.

2. From time to time, I experience a bug in which after placing several instances of a ploppable (say, a square of grass) the placement cursor turns red on the next tile, even though the location is not occupied or otherwise invalid. Then, I can't place any more of the item, unless I move the cursor away and then back. Then, I can place a single instance of an item again, then, repeat having to move the cursor away.

Any ideas? *:???:

Not sure about #1, but #2 has been around a good long while. I'm not sure if there's been anything new regarding an answer,, but it has popped up now and again (example). Perhaps someone will be along with a more information...

Later: Here's a theory... (link) I can't say that I am able to confirm it. The issue hasn't appeared for me enough to get a pattern of when it happens. Back in my RTMT testing days, it used to happen a lot with bus/sub stations. And it would happen with various seawall and highway wall sets amoung other things. I rarely do anything to make the game lose focus, but maybe...

    I just made a quick check in iLives and from what I see, the maximum range of a simple clinic is 384m. That translates to 24 tiles, which happens to be the maximum range that can be achieved in-game, according to the game files.

    It seems then, that the funding slider affects the range of the healthcare facility, up to 83,33% of the slider's length... I could repair it, though perhaps it was entirely intentional on the dev's part? Like elevating budgets in SC3000 over 100% - just benevolent worker benefits without any additional gain for the city.
