I recently switched from mac os to windows (windows 10 64bit  via bootcamp) and now datpacking is making trouble, jdatpacker skips a lot of files  announcing these errors:

FILE IGNORED: C:\Users\rs\Desktop\JDat packen\JS_Greenhouse plp cs TE\._JS_Greenhouse.dat
REASON:       File is not a DBPF formatted file according to magic number: C:\Users\rs\Desktop\JDat packen\JS_Greenhouse plp cs TE\._JS_Greenhouse.dat

FILE IGNORED: C:\Users\rs\Desktop\JDat packen\JS_Greenhouse plp cs TE\._JS_4x3_Agriculture_Greenhouses_3920b920.SC4Lot
REASON:       File is not a DBPF formatted file according to magic number: C:\Users\rs\Desktop\JDat packen\JS_Greenhouse plp cs TE\._JS_4x3_Agriculture_Greenhouses_3920b920.SC4Lot

Does anybody have an idea?

Likely faulty data in the file, so the app can't process them.

The fix for that probably involves creating a new file and pasting the contents of the old ones into them. Do you happen to know which download these are from? We can probably fix the files directly for everyone.

Head over to my Lot and Mod Shack to keep abreast of my latest developments.

Do you like custom textures, but don't like all the work involved creating them?, take a look at the Texture Automation options here. Change the look and feel of your transit networks, with the minimum of effort, for example customised versions of my Sidewalk NAM (SWN) and Terrain Grass NAM (TGN) mods, and much more besides.

New to the NAM? Check out my tutorials on YouTube. Latest upload: How to: RHW - MHO Roundabout Interchanges. (Nov 25).

p.s. - I'm MGB over on SC4D and a member of the NAM team.

There are so many errors in so many files that i doubt faulty data - the greenhouse was a just an example.

I just tried to ignore the error messages and loaded my first city with the new dat file: as far as i could check there is nothing lost......the greenhouse as an example works fine.

Those ._files are useless trash, especially on Windows, and can safely be deleted. See https://apple.stackexchange.com/questions/14980/why-are-dot-underscore-files-created-and-how-can-i-avoid-them

Thx for the hint, i didn't relize the "._".

Do I understand right:  there are a lot of these ._files created by mac os, transferred via USB to Bootcamp and not visible in windows, which cause JDat Packer to crate the error warnings?

EDIT: Got it, sorry for making trouble
