Is there any mod for curved highways that's easier to use than NAM?

I never really liked NAM because you have to place individual little bits down for true curved roads, it's pretty tedious.  Also, is there a way to change how roads get auto-made when you plop down a large amount of zones?  Doing it this way makes all the zone sizes the same and so the city looks very uniform in its' layout.

The NAM is the only mod out there that adds transportation network content.  It is worth pointing out that the Wide-Radius and Multi-Radius Curves (at least some of the smaller ones for Roads/Streets/One-Way Roads) can be built through draggable means--see here.

Altering the auto-building of Streets during the zoning process is a different kettle of fish.  As far as I know, there isn't anything out there currently that allows one to adjust that.

For the auto-streets when zoning big areas, a partial solution is to press the Shift key when zoning. Though, in very big areas, this might result on zones facing each other, which won't grow until fixed. Personally, I prefer zoning individual lots using the Control key, but dragging the roads and streets first and zoning afterwards also functions and is faster, even if a bit less precise.
