Custom lots not integrating with game

I recently downloaded the 4 clinic building / lot from simtropolis. The few times i've put in my cities since, the game doesn't respond via the hospital rating. In fact, this recent occurrence the hospital rating continued its descent down. Is it possible that users that create these custom buildings are not incorporating the line of code that overrides pre-existing maxis code - whatever that maybe - that makes the game adjust ratings to the buildings?

any insight and help would appreciated.

Alrighty! This one is an easy bug to figure out because someone already noticed the trouble back on 12 July, 2003:

All we need to do is decide what Coverage Radius it really should have. The single Maxis Clinic has a radius of 384 meters (which is 24 cells in the city). A Maxis Hospital is set to 800 meters (50 cells).  I believe Sneezy's suggestion of 512 is very reasonable since this is like a mini-medical complex and should attract Sims from farther away than a single clinic.

Now, IMO, the other aspect to consider is this is a cheat. (That's alright if it's disclosed and is what peeps want. )

All other stats are the same as one single clinic so this costs 8 times less per Sim patient, has 8 times less jobs available, and all other stats too are inconsistent with the size of the lot.

So, @MstrFox1982, how you would you like this fixed? Adjust the coverage radius only and then it's a cheat lot? Or fix up all stats to make it consistent with other Maxis content?

So, after careful, deliberate cogitation, CB and I decided the latter option makes more sense. I've made it still be a bit of a cheat lot, but not silly ridiculously.  *;)
