How do I change the growth stage of a building?

Hello Community,

I would like to know how can I change the growth stage of buildings. I have recently downloaded a bunch of them, but I believe the growth stages of some are really exaggerated...

I tried to edit the respective property in the .ld file's dropdown list, but it almost always returns an error. What other options do I have then?

In case it's important - I'm not using CAM*;)

The "SimCity 4" vanilla Opera House is the most evil thing in existence. Avoid.

The growth stage is a property of the LotConfig file. LD files are actually not editable and frankly are junk that serves no real purpose anymore. When I find one, I delete it from the file (optimisation), just as DATPacker does if it finds them.

Do you like custom textures, but don't like all the work involved creating them?, take a look at the Texture Automation options here. Change the look and feel of your transit networks, with the minimum of effort, for example customised versions of my Sidewalk NAM (SWN) and Terrain Grass NAM (TGN) mods, and much more besides.

New to the NAM? Check out my tutorials on YouTube. Latest upload: How to: RHW - MHO Roundabout Interchanges. (Nov 25).

p.s. - I'm MGB over on SC4D and a member of the NAM team.

Ok, found it. But what do the 0xXX values correspond to...? :nyah: 0x05 = fifth stage... or not precisely?

It's a number, only in Hexadecimal, if you want to edit such with Reader you can enter a normal decimal value and it will convert it to Hex for you. 0 through 9 should be obvious enough, then comes A through F representing 10 through 16. Things get a bit more complicated thereafter, the Windows calculator has an option for a Programmer mode which can convert Hex into Decimal and vice versa and can be handy. But yes 0x05 is 5 in this case, the 0x0 is just a formatting thing used with Hex.
