Any idea, why entering a value of 0xFFFFFFFFFFFFFF4 returns 0xFFFFFFFEFFFFFF4 upon hitting the "Apply" button? :rage: :rage: :rage: :rage:

Have you tried converting your desired entry into decimal and seeing if that correctly converts to Hex? I can't say what's going on, but that's a very large number, what Exemplar/Property are you editing? If you have too many or too few digits (from the expected entry), that might explain what's happening.

Do you like custom textures, but don't like all the work involved creating them?, take a look at the Texture Automation options here. Change the look and feel of your transit networks, with the minimum of effort, for example customised versions of my Sidewalk NAM (SWN) and Terrain Grass NAM (TGN) mods, and much more besides.

I don't have 0.9.3 installed (using 1.5.4).

It's obvious you're trying to modify a Sint64 hex value. Normally one only needs to enter the significant digits, and Reader (at least 1.5.4) will add in any leading zeroes needed for a particular Data Type. Given that all the Sint64 values I've looked at (for building exemplars) only have a value range between 0 and 10 billion (i.e.  0x00000002540BE400), it is possible that the values you are trying to enter (which are WAY outside that range) are confusing Reader. Have you tried entering a leading zero before your hex value (i.e. 0x 0FFFFFFFFFFFFFF4) to see if that makes a difference.

You've definitely piqued my curiosity! What possible property are you trying to modify that would use such a LARGE decimal value (1.1+ QUINTILLION)?

I'll be happy to explain. *;)

I'm trying to edit the cost of some of my park buildings so they have negative maintenance cost (hence, bring an income when plopped).

I noticed that Cori's "Park Pays" mod has values like 0xFFFFFFFFFFFFFF7 for "Budget: Item Cost" and it apparently works. I figured that this is roughly what twos complement (negative values in hex) is all about.

I eventually used LeProp and entered the values I wanted. The "Business Deal" parameter has appeared in the file. Much easier.

Thx! That explains it. I've never had to deal with negative numbers in Hex before.
