Please remove April Fools mods

Like I don't know the reason why that the most annoying thing is that they even show up in google search remove them from the category when it's not April fools days

this site is filled with them or make a separate category that shows April fools mods without them invading real mods

All of the April Fools mods have a large, descriptive banner stating that's what they are so there is no need to actually remove them. Ofc, each year any new mods get the 1st of April (and generally a full week thereafter) to do their fooling before a banner is added.

They are also tagged so you can find them via a search.

This banner only works if you clicked on the mod and open the mod page but when you search them on this site they appear as normal mods without a banner

We do display the tag on the search listing too, which aims to inform people how they're April Fools mods. There are 19 of these files which are labelled as such so far. It's possible there might be more too, so let us know if there's any others we can classify as prank uploads.

It is a tradition of Simtropolis that April Fools mods are submitted on 1st April each year, and people do put lots of effort into creating them. As such we feel that removing them isn't fair on authors who create these, and is why we take the compromise to add message banners. People will then be aware before clicking to download.

We appreciate your opinion, of course. However this happens to be one of those things we will not be changing.
