Hi all.

Having mostly spent my time playing on the daytime setting I have only just noticed that my street/road lights do not work.  I am up to date with patches etc, running 1.1.640.0.  and SimFox Day/Night Mod.  The lights in the res/com/ind buildings work as well as any downloaded content....it's just the roads/streets/avenues that are not lit.

Any pointers?

My first instinct says check the graphics settings in-game. It may just need nudged up a little. The game has a bad habit of assuming any current graphics card is useless just coz it doesn't recognise it.

Just checked, all my graphics settings are set to high with the exception of "#sims/cars".

You wouldn’t actually need a patched game to see lights lighting up, provided we’re talking about the default ones. But, do you have power (check the data view) on those segments with lights? It’s a requirement for any lights to work that they have power.

Head over to my Lot and Mod Shack to keep abreast of my latest developments.

Do you like custom textures, but don't like all the work involved creating them?, take a look at the Texture Automation options here. Change the look and feel of your transit networks, with the minimum of effort, for example customised versions of my Sidewalk NAM (SWN) and Terrain Grass NAM (TGN) mods, and much more besides.

New to the NAM? Check out my tutorials on YouTube. Latest upload: How to: RHW - MHO Roundabout Interchanges. (Nov 25).

p.s. - I'm MGB over on SC4D and a member of the NAM team.

Ahhhhh, as I'm only playing test tiles at the moment I haven't actually plopped a power station and opted for the power cheat in Buggi's cheat menu...maybe that is the problem *

I'll have a look when I get home...

EDIT: That was the issue, no power station plopped - Street lights won't work with power cheat.
