Better Region View?

Is there any way to zoom in for more detail on the region view? I know the capability does not exist, but an addon or pluggin?

It just seems like the camera viewing the region is too far away, I know it's probably hard coded into the game, but has anybody got anywhere with this?

In terms of greater detail in region view, this would need a manual way to stitch together the pics.

It would take time and effort though, as there isn't a dedicated tool which can do this autonomously. The reason being, it involves capturing pics from inside each city tile, and the actual snapshots of individual tiles are limited in the resolution (which is what Region Census uses to combine them). Ideally if the game could be modified maybe using some advanced DLL capabilities, the snapshots for tiles could be told to save at a higher resolution. That may well be a big ask though.

For now it is possible as the linked thread covers, and just needs a bit of work. The end result though certainly seems worthwhile.
