Renderered Region map strangeness

Hey all.

Just downloaded and rendered the Plantation Bay map, and once it was done, most of the tiles had an ugly blue-black bar along the bottom of the tile - like a black eye color.

I had this problem when using a pre-rendered version of Digby also.  The region tiles looked fine until I opened and save one, and then it develops the same sort of nasty bar as my own rendering does.  I've attached a file showing the phenomenon on my Plantation Bay render.

Anyone seen this problem and know how to fix it?

PS:  I should say that the bug only appears in the region view.  It does nothing to interfere with gameplay as far as I can tell...

Hi @Drphroggy

This is probably caused by rendering the region with a resolution that is too high (vertical 1200 or higher). You can re-save/re-render it at a lower resolution to eliminate the 'strips' on the large regions.

Here is some information on it... (Link). It's an older topic. There may be more known about the issue now.

That's unfortunate since 1920x1200 is indeed listed in the game's available resolution.

Well I think it's more accurately non-supported resolutions, x1200 and above. 1920x1200 is the highest supported resolution and should not lead to these problems.

Head over to my Lot and Mod Shack to keep abreast of my latest developments.

Do you like custom textures, but don't like all the work involved creating them?, take a look at the Texture Automation options here. Change the look and feel of your transit networks, with the minimum of effort, for example customised versions of my Sidewalk NAM (SWN) and Terrain Grass NAM (TGN) mods, and much more besides.

New to the NAM? Check out my tutorials on YouTube. Latest upload: How to: RHW - MHO Roundabout Interchanges. (Nov 25).

p.s. - I'm MGB over on SC4D and a member of the NAM team.

I'm actually using the 1920x1200 resolution, and that indeed triggers the issue.  as soon as I drop a resolution level, open and save the city tile, it goes away, but re-appears if I go back to 1920x1200... Now that I understand what's causing it I'm happy enough.  I don't really post lots of shots of my poor attempts at city building anyway...
