Hello all,

how do i figure out, how deep this Tile is?

deep.jpg.591f40400749603af890d7333ebf677d.jpg

*Edit* I know how deep it is... 15 Meter :-D But i would like to know the High from the Ground (subzero?).

The easiest way is to type CTRL+X and that will bring up the query box (then type exactly "TerrainQuery" minus the quotes).

Hovering the cursor in the hole (noting the Y measurement) and then the adjacent higher ground (again noting the Y measurement) and comparing the difference between the two Y figures.

    Perfect,

thats what i was looking for. I need to know the exact deepness about one Tile in City A to copy it to City B. Hope eveyone understands me ^^

*Edit* i just checked it on sc4d. So i need the "Y" thing. But, if i know the Y rate, how do i copy it to City B? By try and Error?

Largely it will be trial and error, but it also depends on what you are creating the sunken area for.

If the sunken area is for a rail/road/highway network, or even canals/plop water, then often the simplest way is to plop single street tiles adjacent to each other in a line until you reach the city border in Tile A, then open Tile B and allow the game to reconcile the edges, and then keep going from there.

Otherwise if the sunken areas aren't intended to join up but have to be the same height, the only way is to note the Y elevation in tile A and then use the terrain raise/lower options in Tile B until they match.

    Thanks for it Matt,

i can work with this Infos :-) And Yes, it´s for a Network. I tryed it with to reconcile the edges but after all the Work about Networks, they would be deleted.

*Edit* I should try it the other Way, first to reconcile the edges and after building the Network ;-)

After that, click the Query Tool. That then activates the extra info from having typed in the code.
