Help with HSRP and Railway Catenary mods

Hello Everyone

I am kind of new here and i'm not very familiar with the world of modding. If I post this topic, it's because two of the mods for SimCity 4 that I have downloaded are not working right now, even though some do. These mods are High Speed Rail Project and Oppie_Railway_Catenary. I have put them both in my plugins folder but nothing changes in game and I can't explain this. Apparently it needs a NAM and I already have it.

Can you help me ?

Thanks for your concern :)

NAM already includes the HSRP, so you'll want to remove the second plugin folder(aka the one you just added in).

It should already be in your Rail category, but it's a far ways down.

Is the  Oppie_Railway_Catenary this one?

I hate to say it, but that a SimCity(2013) mod and won't work at all in SimCity 4.
I'm not sure if there is a mod that performs the same function, but I'd suggest asking here

people here are pretty good at helping out. Good luck!

I guess the goal is to use both the HSR and for it to have Catenaries? As mentioned, if you downloaded HSRP as a stand-alone mod, it was long ago integrated into the NAM. Since these networks require code in the NAM to work, it's always better to use the current version, rather than one that may result in problems we can't support.

There is a mod by Plundere, which was designed for Both Ground and Elevated versions of HSRP to add Catenaries:

Don't forget to also grab the needed Catenary models (dependency) from this package.

One word of caution, if the T21s (that's what the Catenary Mod itself consists of), are rotated incorrectly or some other weird visual glitch, it may be due to the re-orientation of the pieces resulting from some code changes. I have the feeling, without having tested things, that this mod might therefore be out of date or incompatible with the current HSRP code. But do check, because it may not have affected this otherwise largely unchanged in a long time feature.

Head over to my Lot and Mod Shack to keep abreast of my latest developments.

Do you like custom textures, but don't like all the work involved creating them?, take a look at the Texture Automation options here. Change the look and feel of your transit networks, with the minimum of effort, for example customised versions of my Sidewalk NAM (SWN) and Terrain Grass NAM (TGN) mods, and much more besides.

New to the NAM? Check out my tutorials on YouTube. Latest upload: How to: RHW - MHO Roundabout Interchanges. (Nov 25).

p.s. - I'm MGB over on SC4D and a member of the NAM team.

thank you for the alternatives you have shared with me, I will try to be careful about the problems you have mentioned here ;)
