Audio Bug with PEG and BSC items

I don't know how to describe it but sure everyone has experienced it at random times.

I use 2 monitors, and from time to time click and do things on 2nd monitor and when I get back to game, I get random sound effects when the window is active to use.  It's normally related to the last item I placed and seems like a bug related to Subway placement and menu lag (I completely stopped using Subways because of this)

The issue I'm having seems to come from PEG Water sources and have an annoying Swoosh sound with water.  The main issue that really annoys me is it seems to somehow over-ride the system audio.  I tried disabling the audio and lowering the volume bar, but this seems like this audio is not part of the game and linked to my Microsoft Windows Audio.

What's up with this and any way to adjust ?

    I found a work around. If I plop a Police Station on map , and destroy it,  this issue is gone.

    The sound glitch itself does not bother me, but it's the super loud volume that was too much to cope with.

    There is a bug in the game that is noticeable with full screen use and and toggling to the desktop. Usually, it makes itself known by being unable to plop multiples of the same object in certain parts of the map.

    In your example, you could fix this by a number of methods.

    1) Brute force: in the shortcut to SC4, right click properties and add ' -audio:off' (minus the two apostrophes ') at the end of the target line - that will disable all sound, or;

    2) Tell the system to play in windowed mode, rather than full screen. To do this, in the shortcut to SC4, right click properties and add ' -w' (minus the two apostrophes ') at the end of the target line - this will permanently play the game in windowed mode, or;

    3) If you are adept with the reader, you can find the lots in question and change their query properties: for instance, if the water lots are the only ones that are playing up, but the fire stations are not, then you can change their sound to the fire station query properties. You will need to bulldoze any previously plopped lots before doing this.

    This last one may be more challenging as some of these lots have ambient sounds which are played when the game is in the vicinity of the said lot, so you may need to be a little more advanced with the reader. However, the first 2 solutions are easily done by anyone and easy to undo if they don't fix your issue.

    Thanks, I'll look into your suggestions as well.   Today I thought I fixed it doing random Police/Fire dpt, but that random fix as well.
