Winter pack

Hello everybody!
I hope you can help me to find the winter pack, I think that's its name.
Some years ago I created a city completly under the snow, but changing pc I don't find the files that allow me to rebuild this town.
So I ask you where I can to find this pack.

I'm not aware of one, but somebody might have assembled one. There is a snow terrain mod, and an ice water mod in Cori's various collection threads. There's also a Christmas lots thread which should contain things you're looking  for. There's a snow cheat in Extra Cheats. Various seasonal MMPs. All I can think of at the moment.

Are you referring to the PEG Snow Mod?

I believe there are a number of additional files that the snow mod can be used to modify. I'm sure those can be easily tracked down in the PLEX section of the STEX.

If you're not thinking of the SimPeg collection, the only other one that comes to mind is this set of files from @Girafe. This one is actually called "WinterPack," but I'm not sure there's enough content in the collection that you would have been able to make a complete city.

There is also the JENX JUPITER Weather Controller mod which you can use to create falling snow.

Perhaps for some additional inspiration, the entries in the old ST Challenge for the winter theme might be worth looking at.

Hi,
I've tried many MODs and I've found the winter pack that works correctly, but now ALL my towns are white all year long: two questions:
1) Is there a system so that the winter pack works only when the calendar is set for the winter season? (from 12/21 to 3/21)
2) Or town by town allows me to switch the pack onor off?

If the winter effects are created via a Prop Effect Exemplar then that could be modded to occur only in that date range. OTOH, if it is a specific terrain, rock, beach, and/or water mod then it would require removing from, or adding to, your Plugins before starting the game. This would also apply to any BATs or Automata where the winter visual is baked into the FSH/S3D.

For any that require removing from Plugins to disable, you could create a command script to automate the process of moving files in and out of Plugins. This can be a wee bit complicated tho if you are not familiar with batch style programming.

Thank you Cori,

Batch programming is not a problem, so you say to create 2 files: WinterPackON.bat and WinterPackOFF.bat that move the plugin in and out the Plugins folder; ok, it's easy (if I find which is the plugin winterpack among many and many and many plugins.

But I've not understood the first. First of all I've not idetified the specific plugin winterpack, because I've installed many plugins and to find the right plugin could be difficult; then How and what have I to modify? What is OTOH?

As you figure out which ones will need moved in and out of your Plugins via the batch files, you'll prolly also be able to determine which ones are for specific effects. Have you used ilives' Reader before? That's the program which lets you look inside (and modify) any of the individual items you use in your Plugins.

I know the feeling!

All the NAM ones as well, and seems this is an acronym world nowadays with all the text speak as is so common.

We do try to add most of them to the site acronym system, so hovering over will usually display the description of what these stand for.
