Who, what or where is it?

Until now I'd not heard of them before, but I searched the database and found a few results for it (and also see a titles only matching search). It sounds like this was a mapping team which was active many years ago, and similar to the NHP and they made SC4 maps and released them under the "Mapp Squad" name.

They're mentioned in a few maps on the STEX, but with no links. I thought it might have been a club, but it's not listed. Guess they're "Out of Business".

They were active back when I first joined the site and they did used to have their own topic on the forums, but when you click on any of the old links in their maps

You get a "The page you requested does not exist" message

Edit: Maybe the links got changed over time cos there is still archived topics for them

The old linky: https://community.simtropolis.com/files/file/idealbb/view.asp?topicID=62070 is, ofc, from a long, long ago version of ST. I'm sure @Cyclone Boom can work his database magic and mass update all of those to point to the archived topic you found. This would then prevent the error when clicking on said linkys.

While we could un-archive that old topic, I personally don't see a reason to as it went inactive and crossed the time threshold for auto storing. (That's something like 5 or 10 years for that to happen.)

All done on each of the matching files, and I also updated a couple of other things too via database queries.

In summary:

1. Support thread links updated to the archived thread.  (70 total)
2. An old broken attachment URL for height modifier files updated from what Cori found by her research.  (66 total)
3. The acronym for MAPP is invalid for MappSquad and so these acronyms have been removed.  (19 total)

My sole purpose in inquiring about this was to see if this was a club of some sort. I found it strange that the second largest category on the STEX was not represented by a club. There is one now.
