Highway Tunnel with missing Texture Image

It seems I am possibly missing some texture files for Highway tunnel?  Everything constructs good for both sides, and shows the construction men coming out of the tunnel, but it shows the bottom grid of the screen checker grid of the game.

For the double Avenue tunnels it shows the proper bridge structure of the tunnel.

This is the RHW Highway, have not tried a 2-Lane normal road.

Yea, this is for RHW, just tried 2-land road and it creates normal tube tunnel textures

    Hiya @Max4k

I'm sure that @rsc204 will be able to give a much more coherent explanation for this, but what I know is it seems we couldn't have tunnels for RHW, at least they don't work on me. Do you have slope mod in your comp? i just tried it in my comp with a slope mod, The Maxis Highway (ground and Elevated) could draw through the mountain, but RHW split the mountain into two pieces, after i changed another slope mod, i got the same transparent entrance as yours, and also no traffic uses it. I thought those parts maybe hardcored by the game, otherwise, NAM could make it possible.:} Sorry that i might wrong on this.

    Sincerely,

I was not aware I was using a Mod, had downloaded bunch of stuff last few days. As long as it works, I don't really care and will use trees.

Im working on a mountain map, and decided to run the highway across the map and it's pretty much 90% underground in the tunnel.

Tunnels (proper functional ones like Road, Rail and Avenue), are something that is intrinsically part of the code for SC4 and not something we can do much with modding wise. The Dirt Road (RHW) and Street Networks both have the ability to make tunnels but the portals do not appear and they are not functional. Most networks that do not support tunnels, don't actually get this far, so seemingly someone at Maxis had planned to include them but didn't.

If you install the optional Maxis Highway Override mod from NAM, it converts the Maxis Highways into a sort of bi-directional RHW-4, intended for use with RHW. This mod includes overrides for the tunnel portals of MHY, in effect creating a RHW tunnel. But we can only have one model for a network (and any override networks using the base network too). So we can change the models used for the tunnels where they do exist in working form. But given the propensity of the NAM to use override networks, for the most part we're really limited to what we were given by Maxis.

Head over to my Lot and Mod Shack to keep abreast of my latest developments.

Do you like custom textures, but don't like all the work involved creating them?, take a look at the Texture Automation options here. Change the look and feel of your transit networks, with the minimum of effort, for example customised versions of my Sidewalk NAM (SWN) and Terrain Grass NAM (TGN) mods, and much more besides.

New to the NAM? Check out my tutorials on YouTube. Latest upload: How to: RHW - MHO Roundabout Interchanges. (Nov 25).

p.s. - I'm MGB over on SC4D and a member of the NAM team.

Yikes! I need to revisit a bunch of street tunnels to check on pathing and traffic. After seeing and believing, I guess I'll have to replace each with a road tunnel.
