I'm also working on some hedges. There are some good ones on the STEX, but I wanted some with a flowers, and less trimmed.

I like! Definitely distinctive but not unheard of.

I'd be happy to recommend additional types of buildings that might be common in LA or Phoenix (my home turf with somewhat similar architecture), if you'd like.

Yeah, I'm definitely open to making stuff from all over the southwest not just L.A.  Possibly Mexican content too, I've had this Idea of doing a border city. Where part of the region would be U.S. style buildings and part of the region would be Mexican buildings.

I've stumbled upon this thread by the link in your download thread. Good work with both the buildings and the lots. These buildings look really promising, the only thing I don't like, as someone already pointed out, are the roofs. Although, of course, I understand the point of these bright white roofs that they reflect sunlight. If you can resolve this somehow, I'll gladly download these buildings.

Also, you seem to have a z fighting issue on two of your lots (the horizontal lines). This happens when you are using props that do not get above ground level (don't know how to express this better). Seems you are using props as pathways. You can solve this by raising these props by 0.2-0.3 m in Lot Editor (press CTRL + up arrow key simultaneously, pressing once raises a prop by 0.1 m).

The roof texture is looking much better!

Loved the multicolor terra cotta tiles from V.01, by the way!

Third Example, color value is at 181, white but not to white I hope. I should finish with the models today, then I want to make some more props.

Getting frustrated. I've created close to a dozen props today and every single one show a random maxis building in the game. I've tried many of the suggestion, but they either don't work or I'm not sure how to do them. Any suggestions welcome.

While I don't have any clue about making graphics, this reminds me of an issue I once had while relotting some content from the Italian Collection. It turned out that some of the ID's of the models were the same as default Maxis ones and apparently got overridden. You might want to read this thread on what I experienced, and on how my problems got resolved:

Okay, I think I fixed it. I installed the texture problem fix and that seemed to work. Thanks for y'all's help.

Those roofs look soooo much better!  I really like that you were able to get the white ones to still be white without being overly bright.  Looking forward to seeing these on the STEX

All of the houses look amazing! Excellent work.

One question, when you mod and lot them, are you using the Plugin Manager X or the regular Plugin Manager and lot Editor? I ask because PIM-X is much more handy, lets you work quicker and gives the buildings balanced stats easily, sometimes the ole' Maxis PIM gives weird stats to buildings and they could not work as intended.

I like! Hoping to see the revised, less white buildings on the STEX soon as well.

I'd be happy to recommend additional types of buildings that might be common in LA or Phoenix (my home turf with somewhat similar architecture), if you'd like.

Hopefully, the other buildings are on my other laptop which I currently log into. I will contact my I.T. after the new year and see if there is a way to access them.
