No more Facebook Login

Hello all,

Good to see Simtropolis is staying alive and getting bigger. Actually I am an old member with display name "Nurel Fayed" as known as modder for Cities XXL game, who came back to try some asset creations for Cities Skylines. But, I faced a problem. I usually logged in with my facebook account, now there is no more. I couldnt' login manually since I kinda forget the password and unable to access old email.

Basically I have two questions for anyone who can help:

1. Who should I contact to helping me resurrect my old account--"Nurel Fayed"?

2. Is there any possibilities transfer all things from my old account (lets say achievment, uploads, CJ, etc) to this newest account?

Yep, that can be done, but wouldn't it be better to have access to your original @NurelFayed account? Then everything would be in place and we could nix this new account as being temporary so you could post.

Ofc, I'll need a wee bit of convincing that the old account is yours. I'll send you a PM in a moment and we can discuss that secretly.

For the Facebook login no longer being available, I can explain about this...

Presently it is no longer an option because the board software version we're on doesn't support this with the login setup. It uses an API key which is no longer valid, and this is something which needs to be correct for the system to support social logins, such as this what Facebook requires. Previously with this enabled, people were getting login errors and it simply didn't work. So with not being fit for purpose, we'd turned it off (and the same with Google and Twitter logins too).

These likely will be restored again at some stage, but this explains the reason why you were unable to login. I'm glad with Cori's help you got back up and running again with your original account. Also if anyone else is reading this, please do contact us and we'll help you out also.
