Why My Automata Mod Doesn't Work?

Hello,

I tried to mod the Automata Plugin from NAM. I want to eliminate all automata in the city for a reason. I set the value concerning the density and the number of # to zero. But why am I still seeing automata? The traffic seems to be not affected. I also make the file name to be almost the same as the original. Why my automata mod doesn't work? Here's my automata mod.

Thanks.

I'm not sure if it's as simple as that, I really haven't tinkered in this area.

The only thing a file name alters in respect of SC4 content is the loading order. Both the original and your edited copy contain the same Exemplars. Everything SC4 does is always done based on the internal ID system, which you see in Reader, the TGI or Type, Group, Instance ID.

Does your modded copy load after the original?, it may not be. Otherwise make a backup of the file you are editing and use the copy you edit instead of the original file. If that still hasn't got what you want, most likely you either need to alter other properties or perhaps this is something you can't just "turn off" as such. There certainly are other methods that would remove all cars, I know both Vortext and SimCoug managed to do this, but I don't recall how. I'd start by doing some searches of their posts, the answer surely lies somewhere within.

Head over to my Lot and Mod Shack to keep abreast of my latest developments.

Do you like custom textures, but don't like all the work involved creating them?, take a look at the Texture Automation options here. Change the look and feel of your transit networks, with the minimum of effort, for example customised versions of my Sidewalk NAM (SWN) and Terrain Grass NAM (TGN) mods, and much more besides.

New to the NAM? Check out my tutorials on YouTube. Latest upload: How to: RHW - MHO Roundabout Interchanges. (Nov 25).

p.s. - I'm MGB over on SC4D and a member of the NAM team.

I moved the original to the outside of Plugin folder. More specificly, in Documents. I moved my plugins to the NAM folder. I do have the original so don't worry about backups.

    Thanks.
