Hi zarro73, and welcome to Simtropolis. *:)

This happens to be a known glitch when rendering maps in the game. If having a screen resolution which has a height of 1200px or greater, it causes these bands to appear in the snapshot preview as you've found. I notice your preview image is this matching height, and so it seems likely this is what's happening.

Here's a post our beloved @A Nonny Moose made on the subject explaining the solution:

It's a known problem if you render a map with a vertical resolution of 1200 px or greater.  It is harmless if annoying.  The fix is to never render a map at a vertical resolution greater than 1199 px.  Alternatively, you can set your resolution down, and open then save each tile.

Existing rendered tiles can be re-opened and saved to update the thumbnail snapshots.

So give this a try with temporarily lowering your screen resolution, and let us know it that works for you.

    No worries at all.

We staff and long time members often act as guides to the content here. We're way more familiar with where things are hidden so it's usually easier to simply start a new topic to ask. Then someone who already knows can pop in with linkys and/or an explanation. *;)
