I suppose it's really time to make the entire site really static since the backend now frequently falls down. You can use any tool (such as HTTrack to archive the entire site as is)

There are also search engines FOR static websites that you can easily integrate if necessary

And then you could put the site behind Cloudflare to cache everything including the search results, setting very long Edge Cache TTL and enabling HTTPS.

Or you can just fix repeatedly the site.

I can confirm the same error as you've specified.

It would be good to improve the stability, but for now fixing on an as-needed basis is the only viable option. I've informed Dirk our webmaster who has access to manage both the legacy sites, and hopefully they can be restored soon. It does seem how every so often they need rebooting, suggesting the system needs a refresh once in a while. Since the sites run on an older version of the ColdFusion framework, there's doubt whether newer technologies would be viable or not.

In the meantime @catty-cb has been re-posting articles to the Omnibus. The idea is these can eventually be restructured in proper organised categories. There's a topic here with some viable categories, and in due course the plan to make it more accessible as an information hub.

It's down again. I went to look at the city directory and couldn't access the site.

Hopefully it's a temporary glitch, but it's not very stable these days .... we do have backups of all the cities in case it permanently fails one day

It seems it only stays up for some period of time before it gets itself in some kind of tizzy. The only way to fix it is for Dirk to give it a good whack upside its head. I'll pass the word to @Dirktator.
