No Car Zot at Stations

Hi all.

So I was curious if a solution existed for this problem.  I've attached a photo.  For whatever reason I can't place residential zones along stations for the NAM networks.  I always end up with the no car zot.  I don't have this problem with commercial zones however, those seem to work fine.  Normally I just zone commercial but in situations like this with row homes, I'd like to be able to complete the row.

(Also, any chance we'll see an update for the stations that matches the newer textures?)

Thanks!

Sadly, that's an inherent problem with using stations alongside residential zones, and there's no way to work around it. The next best thing is to put something else there or make a slightly larger residential zone that extends beyond the station itself.

Isn't the station you are showing one of the RTMT stations?, it sure looks like it but I could be wrong. Anyhow NAM and RTMT teams both tend to work closely together where stations are concerned, so in either case, no doubt the texture is an RTMT one. When you say matching, are you simply talking about the missing yellow lines? This came about because the T-RAM project only released in NAM with EU textures and US textures came later. In the interim, there has been no new release of the textures, but we do have them for RTMT 4.0's development and they will appear eventually.

Head over to my Lot and Mod Shack to keep abreast of my latest developments.

Do you like custom textures, but don't like all the work involved creating them?, take a look at the Texture Automation options here. Change the look and feel of your transit networks, with the minimum of effort, for example customised versions of my Sidewalk NAM (SWN) and Terrain Grass NAM (TGN) mods, and much more besides.

New to the NAM? Check out my tutorials on YouTube. Latest upload: How to: RHW - MHO Roundabout Interchanges. (Nov 25).

p.s. - I'm MGB over on SC4D and a member of the NAM team.

Thanks, and yes it is an RTMT station.  Sorry if I had that mixed up.

I went ahead and just exported the model as a prop and made a "park" version instead.  So consider this problem solved.

It happens with all of the RTMT: The station acts as a "transit switch", which is not the same thing as a road. Pedestrians can cross it to reach jobs, but residents can't get their cars out of their driveways to start their morning commute trips (but cars can somehow drive through it end-to-end).

My workaround (using RTMT bus stops) is to place them at 4-way intersections or the stems of T intersections. By placing a station close enough to the corner, the lots that would be affected gain car access via the crossing road.

Try placing your next station at or close to a corner so the only res lot(s) facing it are corner lots.

Thanks!  Nearly all of my stations are at corners, including this one.  The street just ends at the GLR line.
