Hello,

This thread haven't achieved completion. We need your consensus in order this problem to be fixed. To facilitate that, I'll create polls to you which can be seen at the top of the topic. To help you answer the poll, consider to read this whitepaper: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1qFRcXjq0sczpSrzz1hR6TlcV4jR7EAquiVL5mRXZ4-M/edit#heading=h.2g6o78e5ddhq. Don't forget to add the reason as a topic reply.

For those among you thinking the repacking, we still consider that. Even, any result still result to repacking of mods if possible.

I hope this poll will end as fast as possible but with expected quality result.

Thanks.

For staff, this thread isn't duplicate of the said topic. In fact, it's companion. If you think it's duplicate, let me know!

I chose the tracker approach due to less effort implement it to the site. In fact, the tracker can be implemented with a library, unlike the mod manager approach which require access to the file database.

Although it's backed with scientific proofs, I can't say this to anyone because anyone is different. I'm intentionally separating this post from the first post because I wanted more separation of concern.

    Thanks.

As i see it this threat is obsolete, you have a What is the future of Mod distribution wich covers all about the discusion how to go furthur with Simtropolis Mod packs.

Original Sharing plugins folder threat need to be cleared of any messages regarding Mod packs, mostly normal forum rules say any thread main subject must be followed, why will we have threats mixed with messages not regarding the subject chosen  !

Anyone who like to follow the Mod pack discusion need to swap to this thread.

    Sincerely yours,

    kschmidt

To clarify, Sharing Plugins Folders Discussions is different than my whitepaper topic. The whitepaper topic, well, only discuss the whitepaper. Discussions to the whitepaper should be redirected to the whitepaper topic. Sharing Plugins Folders Discussions can be obsoleted.

    Thanks.
