Hello friends,

I am playing SimCity 4 Deluxe on a : MacBook Pro (retina, 13 inch, mid 2014) 2.6 GHz Intel Core i5. I partitioned the HDD and am playing in Bootcamp with Windows 10.

I know the fn up/down/right/left key combination should allow the player to rotate buildings/puzzle pieces, or change the orientation of the map. I've read this in countless places and I've done my homework. When I use the fn and up/down keys it scrolls the map as if I'm not holding the fn key down.

I am going insane. Is this a Windows 10 problem? A problem with my fn key? I'm at a loss as to what I'm doing wrong.

Hiya, Ltlantnee.

I wish I had an answer for you, but I'm completely clueless in this case. Hopefully a Mac/Bootcamp guru will come along with the solution.

It could be a problem with keyboard drivers. I have to admit I have no experience with Boot Camp, having always used dedicated Windows machines or virtual machines.

In any case, I've always had problems with using Mac keyboards in Windows virtual machines. I would try either an external keyboard with the relevant keys (they are usually quite cheap), or else you could try some software to edit your keyboard layout and reassign the keys to something else. I have no experience with this, but it sounds like it might do the trick: http://www.kbdedit.com/.

Hope that helps!
