I completely agree with you - I'm a fan of doing things the plain old SC4 way.
That's why virtually every single building, texture, lot, prop, MMP, etc in my pictures is an in game asset. Not photoshopped.
Now, I have done the occasional fun picture with a few more photoshop enhancements than usual like my Victoria Falls. But for a majority of my pics, all I'll do is add a filter and a border. For others, maybe a few clouds, some weather effects, or some reflections to make the scene look more interesting. But overall - photoshop plays a very small role in the grand scheme of things and is primarily used to add a little bit of flair and to express myself. When you look at my work behind the scenes, the first thing that it should be associated with is custom content, custom lotting, MMPing. Photoshop would be way down on the list.

In fact, here's another look at my work behind the scenes. As I mentioned, I'm a huge proponent of keeping things in game.
It's why I've spent 100's of hours making custom textures to be used in the game: All the pics you see with the wild road textures like Prague, Santos, Arc De Triomphe, etc etc are pretty much a big texture that I put onto a flat plane in 3dsmax, I'll then render it, and use it as a prop for use in the lot editor and the game.
It's why I've spent countless hours creating various custom BATs and MMPs (all pictures are unedited and were taken in LE/SC4).
It's why I've spent many painstaking hours learning about terrain mods and creating new terrain paints:
It's why I've spent so many tedious hours late into the night creating brand new LE textures for my scenes:
It's why I've spent so many hours exporting various assets that I've downloaded online into the game.
I've even posted a good number of pics that are 100% photoshop free.
And finally, here's original picture from this thread with no photoshop. As you can see, its all lot editor/MMP work (pretty much a big lot I made with LE - I then MMPed extra details on top) with a few of my custom BATs in addition. Hope that clears a few things up.
