MOD Help.

I need a little help with some mods. I downloaded a few mods, I installed them to my Progamfiles(86x)/Steam/Steamapps/common/Simcity4/Plugins, but when I place them on the map they only show up as concrete slabe without the building. I would really appreciate some help on this, as I downloaded close to 50 mods and I don't want to have to delete them and reinstall, so any help would be much appreciated.

Can you point us to the specific files you are getting trouble with? Or maybe to take an screenshot from the game to see what you are seeing? Both things would help a lot to diagnose what's happening

They're mainly Hospitals, Police Stations and some Fire Stations. A lot of the Lots are older files from 2003 and some from 2004.

Ok, I used some moderator magic to find the files, and effectively, that discards a lot of possible issues.

What I think is your problem is that the game version you installed isn't properly patched and/or you don't have some old but key dependencies.

Starting with the dependencies, you need the Maxis' Buildings as Props to see the game buildings on custom lots. Download both packs (the 2nd and 3rd rows on the table) here --> https://www.sc4devotion.com/forums/index.php?page=9

I'm really unsure about the possibility to patch digital versions of the game (@rsc204 might know better), but anyway, this ones are the normally required packs:

• 1.1.638 --> https://www.sc4devotion.com/forums/index.php?page=7 (on the last row)
• 1.1.640 --> https://www.sc4devotion.com/forums/index.php?page=14 (the one under the title of Recommended Downloads)

Install them both sequentially, first 638, then 640. If the installation fails, return here and wait for some answer by RSC, as I have no experience with digital versions as the one you have.

Given many of the early lots primarily used Maxis props, that would be my best guess. Just extract each DAT file and place anywhere in your Plugins folder. For a lot which references a Maxis building as a prop, they will be missing without necessarily showing a brown box (I just tested this to confirm).

Alternatively to the bldgprop files, another option is to use:

Which as an added bonus, also fixes a minor annoyance on custom lots.

With the exception of Origin, I believe all other known digital versions (including Steam) come fully patched. At least in the past, an indication was to check the game's exe, which reported version 1.1.641.0 when hovered over. If the checksum is different than what the patches expect, the updater will fail. Then throw in the DRM that also changes the structure of the executable, that's a reason why the Origin edition is completely unpatchable.
