You want demand, you got demand. Commercial and Industrial demand, all types, boosted 500%.

It''s a radical mod for fun purposes only, do not use for any other use.

Enjoy

500% ... indeed, if one wanted super demand, i'll go out on a limb and suggest that this mod ought to meet that requirement ...

What sucks is try as I might I couldn't find demand modifiers for residential zones 15.gif

I did get a couple nice crashes of my computer though 24.gif

Sorry about residential, I was really hoping it would be possible to modify it's demand, but alas, it's not (to the best of my knowledge).15.gif

That's cuz you need to use the RPatch. Get it here : http://www.pucechan.com/~sc4dev . Make sure you click on the backup file option if this is the first time you've installed a mod. If you want to uninstall the mod just delete simcity_1.dat and rename simcity_1.bak to simcity_1.dat.

If you have more jobs than there are workers, residental demand will be automatically raised. So if this radical mod causes more jobs to be built than normal, the residental demand would be raised too. It all works out in the end. 1.gif

Anyway, if you set the effect on commerical demand to an extremely high value (mine's 9,999,999), you would have practically unlimited demand.

    um...nooooo

It's a Plugin DAT file, no need to rpatch or anything.

I've found that SOMETIMES for some reason the ordinances are not loaded in the city file. I haven't figured out why.

    Keep tryin 9.gif

Ralley22, did you put it into the rigth folder?? make sure you do. if its a .dat file, you dont need any Rpatch. you only need the Rpatch for .kbi files.

this is a really cool radical mod buggi, awesome. (great for some ppl who are having trouble with the game, know what i mean)

Seems like some folks don't actually read the readme files that come with these.

This is an *ORDINANCE* mod, and is the form of a Plugin.

So, no rpatch needed. Just put the Plugin_090_**** file, into the plugin folder.

BUT! There is more to it.

After it is in the folder, and when you go to your city, you must now enact the ordinance, by going to your city ordinances, and then clicking in the new *Super Demands* ordinance in the income area of your city ordinances.

Be very careful with this mod. It can really fry your city, if you don't use it properly.

If you allow it to run too long, you will get lots of commercial, and industrial buildings, but there will not be enough workers, so abandonment will be on the horizon.

Just enact the ordinance, let it run for a couple of months, and then repeal it. You will have lots of commercial and industrial by now (provided that you have zoned enough) and that will create high demand for residential.

This mod is great for region play, but not too good for single city play.

However, it also is tweakable with the nice Reader program, so once again a great plug in has been provided by Buggi, to use as another tool in our growing tool chest to build the city of our dreams.

WOW! This mod is great. If you're looking for the bigger buildings this is the way to go. It doesnt really matter that it doesn't increase R demand because once C and I go up R automatically goes up too. After installing this my city turned from a sorry little ghetto into a glissening metropolis with highrises that reach for the heavens.9.gif. Sorry i'd show you pics but my browser crashes every time I try to upload screan shots14.gif... damn dial-up.

Would there be any chance of you giving us a step by step on your creation of this ordinance. I saw a step by step of using dotdat - something like that. I like the idea of being able to turn it on and off, rather than a straight mod, and I would be willing to try and learn how to make others.

This mod is great how would you feel if you got Stage8 in the first year. I got Calahaine Communications, Van Projen trading.  Etc. Plus what I liked best no abondonment!1.gif Also there is an ordiniance so after downloading it you will have a choice of enacting it or not.

Was that for the general public? Because I'm the one who discovered the majority of all these values.22.gif

But, for the $%&^!, it's very good information 9.gif

    Congratulations wicky.

Could I by any chance use some of your fabulous info in a edited tutorial. I have created a demand multiplier but a demand creator seemed to skip over my mind.

1 Problem for anyone making this mod. It can cause mass abandonment if you delete the building. (as in all 600000 worth abandoned) I have warned yee all now take heed or feel the wrath of  the great god who looks down on our creations and smiles.

lol... yes, 600,000 is an aweful lot.... i just was practicing last night with open grass areas.  i only changed the demand created to 1000 and place 20 of them....chica-boom i had about 25 grand palaces and two other small, petite R$ homes.  i haven't tested 600,000...

yes buggi... you deserve big thanks for all of your contributions.... i'll have to give dotdat a try soon

    NONONO!

I wasn't asking for props or thanks, just curious as to why the explination.

    15.gif

    I must have a HORRIBLE reputation 14.gif

    *edit*
Wait for the next beta release of DotDat before you download it. It will have a bit more functionality and most likely fewer crashes... hopefully

^ same as above with me too. i'm sorry for being such a $%&^!, but i can't help it really. anyway,i have the exemplar analyser window open, to tree, and i have all of the listed names.. "civic buildings, disasters, flora and fauna" but the only difference from the ss above is that i don't have plus signs next to my list names, any of them.

well to start off all i did was open the reader, click on 'analyzer' and tried to click on the plus sign which wasn't there.

    it's version 0.5.1

anyway sorry for robbing the thread, i just want editing to be as easy as you all make it seem...9.gif

lol... you guys are even bigger $%&^!'s than me... [and i had to ask buggi what $%&^! meant yesterday...]

    anyway... i should've added a step 2.5....

Step 2.5) Open simcity1.dat by clicking the open button and finding it in your simcity game directory [it is the thing you wanna edit]

(if that's not it... idk, it's the only thing i could think of... make sure you click the search button, too!)

Well, to truly test to see if it's working, go to a plot of land unnamed and unused, go in, name the city and check it. See if a fresh city loads it.

Sometimes an existing city has issue with these things. Not sure why.
