Those are Maxis God mode trees and they plant based on terrain elevation.

In a new tile, they can be found in the Terraform menu as Seed Forests:

Then just paint them on the ground and you get either Oak Trees, Pine Trees, or Scrub Brush depending on the height of the terrain:

But, that's tedious to do for an entire city tile. Press Ctrl+X and then use the Flora Blast command. I tend to use higher numbers to plant them as thick as they can go.

^ Note: You won't want to use this in a developed city. *;)

And here's the tile after the blast is completed:

Thanks! I already knew all of these aspects, but I am very thankful of the clarification on how it was made

The land here is more rolling than my Corillion region so the farms are further apart. Ofc, with all the trees and high shadows setting the hills aren't really visible.

Liking those hedgerows, all ploppables?

I leave a gap between farm fields when zoning and then paint in Maxis God Mode Trees after the farms sprout. I use Shift+F1 to get the smallest brush.

Vast fields of crops to feed my city. For the Picard's out there who like food 'traditional' (though the gene labs have had a grand old time...'Meat Trees!')

It's the PEG Ppond.  Some areas require lot of water plopping.

I use this and used for the Sea as well

''What is behind those mountains papa?''

''A nice small farming community where your cereal comes from.''

So this is a small farmland behind those huge mountains, only accessed by rail and a highway tunnel.
