Heya!

 

I completed the airport a while ago, however havnt had to much time on my hands due to work.

Basicly the airport and the area surrounding it is a copy of London City Airport.

The area further away however, I went for a "personal design"....couldnt be bothered to look at Google Maps all the time! :-P

 

As you can see on the shot below, the skyline doesnt resemble London at all:

Quite a messy part of the airport!

 

There is only so many aircraft types serving this airport, the Airbus 220 being one of them:

Overview of the city. The transition from farming area to the city is quite sharp!

Stupid patch screwed my save, so I had to start on a new map. Not to bad though, quite like my new map.

I started out with a harbor. Not yet complete, but so far we have an oil port, mineral terminal, container terminal and a cruise/ferry port.

 

First off, an overview of the whole harbor:

 

This post will cover the cruise/ferry terminal.

 

I tried to blend it in with the nature as much as i could.

 

Not the most grand terminal I've seen, but i like it! :-)

 

The cruise terminal can fit 4 cruise ships and the "ferry" part of the area can fit 3 large ships:

 

Last one showing my take on creating the ramps to/from the ships. Not the best, but works alright!

Man you are the best airport creator out there !!! I dare to suggest those functional plane stands. You shoudl use Prop It Up to remove the default props, be careful to save before using prop it up cause sometimes it crasheh the game (nothing bad, and the prop removed while the grame crashes stays removed). With the props removed you can make those amazing airports functional

I tried using them some time ago and they worked. The problem was they were spawning like 100 airplanes which looked very strange. But that was a while ago, maybe there's a mod to prevent that nowadays?

The densely forested hills, warm-weather foliage, and British influences remind me somewhat of Hong Kong (it has been 23 years since they were a British colony, but the influence is still there in many places, including road signage), as well as the British Virgin Islands.

Yeah I see the resemblance aswell, with the hilly/island landscape :-)

Lately my game has been quite unstable so I had to remove ALOT of assets and mods and, yet again, start on a new map.

No airport so far ;-).....

Basicly a medium sized city located between a river and some hilly areas. The focus point will be the railyard.

I wanted the areas around the railyard to be dirty and "run down"-looking:

I've always wanted to say this, but your airports in CS are insanely incredibly in detail and how realistic they look.  I also like your ferry port, it gives me some ideas on what to do with Seattle.

Long time since the last post!

Inspiration taken from Stockholm Bromma, although I did alter it quite alot.

Some remote stands with the terminal in the background:

The airport is located more or less in the middle of the city, as seen in this overview shots:

 

A SAS A319 taking off:

 

The terminal. No gates, just stands where one would have to walk up to the aircraft (as in the real airport)

 

Last one, the approach to runway 30.

A few months later....

Managed to create two more airports during this time. However the first one crashed (hence the reason I started on the second one)

 

Airport one, a reasonable large airport with alot of short haul flights:

 

 

 

 

After this save crashed, I had to unsub from all of my assets to be able to run the game.

 

Second airport, which is a bit smaller and older:

 

 

 

 

 

 

Still working on this map, and hopefully it wont crash on me :-)
