I found this to be very interesting. It features many interesting modeling techniques and blender shortcuts, even texture baking from different raw materials. The only thing that it does not teach is how to save space on the uv map, by overlaying similar faces, and how to make a LOD.

Uhh, that looks like a good one. Just skimmed it, but definately some tricks to pick up on there. Ty for sharing :D

I know this is old post but i can't find any tutorial on creating lod - Custom LOD Creation using Blender - Modeling & Texture Baking guide seems to be missing quite a bit and that's mostly because there is blender 2.82 now that doesn't have some of the options mentioned in the guide (some i was able to find after few days search).

Do you know if there is any other guide somewhere on the internet?

You only need to search for a baking tutorial. For example this one  ...

The rest is the same procedure as in 2.79.
