Cities skyline a buy?

Hey peeps

I'm still playing SC4 on steam. just noticed cities skylines is on a free trial so I downloaded it. just 1 hour into it, still figuring it out but likes it. is it worth a buy?

It's on sale this weekend as well, except the Snowfall DLC is the only thing that is not on sale.  The base game is a decent base, but you'll probably want to look at the Steam Workshop for the various mods and assets available to change the game.

I'd buy the game since it's 60% off for the base game and After Dark is 50% off right now, pretty hard to find it at a lower price.  That comes out to $20, or $32.47 if you get Snowfall.

For twenty bucks it's a fantastic timesink. As soon as you hit the point where you want more from the game than it can really handle you might as well be hundreds of hours in. Even then, that might not be as frustrating as it sounds since fresh mods with great new functionality come out regularly.

When you see people here railing against the game or its developers it's because they love it so much they have to keep hitting it.

thank you Roadman, Koesj. I didn't know there were these separate DLCs. hmmm after dark is on sale. not snowfall but I'm already having enough challenge with the base model so I might now. it is addictive. 

It doesn't have the fantastical buildings that SC does. But its buildings, the higher levels of details and animations are enjoyable. Consider me a new fan.

I'm now officially a new member of the Cities Skylines addicts! just bought on steam. yay!
