Why is my CSL re-installing?

I logged in this morning and I noticed Steam wanted me to re-install the WHOLE CSL game? Not a update, but re-install it completely from scratch? I have a couple of cities and maps that I made I don't want to lose.  Is anyone else having to re-install the game or know why I'm being asked to?

No, that seems to be an isolated incident. I only got the usual Workshop updates. You can just backup your maps and saves somewhere else. Did you validate your installation?

Also, I take it you already played since After Dark and the associated patch for everyone came out.

thanks for the quick reply @Turjan.  so my CSL completely re-installed, took an hour yest morn.  I played it yesterday and this morning, more updates were automatically downloaded this morning.  lots of updates.....not sure why.  still, my CSL is running fine now, and plus I open my old cities (pre-After Dark) so i'm good for now.  thanks! hope u're enjoying night time in your city!!
