WELCOME TO KROVASTADT

PROLOGUE
In this City Journal, I want to express a completely new way of City Journal, a history, a progress on the time, an evolution... The town will grown, new towns will grow up according the map (temporal towns for example). The Journal start on 1950 and will expand to the actuality. On this era, I will try to adapt the vehicles and buildings to the era (sometimes I will not be able to adapt it at 100%). Probably someone knows me from RAGNVALD City Journal, well, I want to try something different today, so let's go.

In this city I will merge American and European features, I want to get the best of each continent and merge it into one. But, in location, maybe can be somewhere on the northern of Europe.

 

MORE ABOUT KROVASTADT
Krovastadt is a mountain region. Always the mountains are covered by snow and the climate is really cold. On this region recently has been discovered some resources to be exploit. Our main focus is the possitive prospection found of ore. But this location is a hard place to exploit resources.

 

Our main focus is on the south side. Where we can start exploting the ore there. A mining camp will be placed around, but we have to build the road first. The planning of location:

 

The objective is to build the road in less than six month. Then build a mining camp and provide it with main facilities until we make infrastructure for Ore industry, the objective is to start exploiting the mine in the 1955. The road is under construction.

 

A initial sand road has been build on the area. Now is time to build the energy supply, with a small eolic park placed on the south. The building of them has been started and is planned to end all of them (4 units) in 1955. Meanwhile, the workforce will sleep on a neiborhood until the first houses are build.

The Mining Camp area is under construction too. Actually the main stages like settlement, structure and leveling the area are being done. The first houses are planned to be placed ending 1950 or coming 1951.

  New competitor for Citroën H Van
 Citröen and his popular H Van have new competitor. Volkswagen released his Transporter T1. The H van, released on 1947, got the love of all, will the Transporter  T1 eclipse the H Van? Volkswagen also made a variant for the public, the called Camper T1.

Krovastadt region will be exploited
The government approved the exploit of the ore in Krovastadt. After the prospection, the result says there are a big deposit of ore on the mountain. The works to prepare the settlement has been started and they are thinking about to exploit other industry on the area like forestry or farming.

Update #2: Winter 1950-1951

PROLOGUE

The Mining Camp has been started, it have 210 inhabitants actually and seems they are starting to get hungry. They do not have any facilities because are in construction actually, and I expect all people will leave soon. I also added a few lights on the main road to give a bit light on the area.

 

The main road is still under development, and is being remodeled into a pevemented one.

 

NEWSPAPER (OCTOBER 1950)

Krovastadt mining camp reaches 200 inhabitants
The enterprise Steel Rhino, owner of the Mining Camp and exploit rights on Krovastadt announced they reached 200 inhabitants on the camp. But the situation is critic, without any facilities they don't have much expectations to be there.

Volkswagen Camper T1 success in sales
Volkswagen announced this month a success in sales for its Camper T1. The vehicle, is being sold easily and a lot of people is enjoying all what it offers. Steel Rhino's Mining Camp announced they will open a Volkswagen Dealer on the camp to meet the needs of the owners. The Camper T1 is the only vehicle used on Mining Camp actually por personal use.

 

NEWSPAPER (NOVEMBER 1950)

Criminality is increasing in the Mining Camp
 Bad news for Steel Rhino. The Mining Camp on Krovastadt is on a criminality increase, the precaric situation without services is a reality on Mining  Camp. The camp, without energy and water from January, is now the protagonist of the criminality, and some Volkswagen Camper T1 was seen  without  wheels on the street. The situation is starting to be out of control. The Camp, with only around 200 inhabitants is asking for their basic  services and  facilities. Steel Rhino announced they will change this situation, they trust in this Mining Camp and the Ore in the mountain and they  will  put all efforts  to satisfy the campment.

 Meanwhile, the inhabitants are waiting on the Mining Camp, going to Ragnvald to get all supplies and coming back to the camp. In the last month,  the  Camp lost 21 citizens. There are some wind turbines being built, but is planned to end around October.

NEWSPAPER (DECEMBER 1950)
New Church for Mining Camp
Steel Rhino, approved by the Government announced a new Church installed on Mining Camp. The Director of Steel Rhino said: "We are happy to announce the construction of this building, we hope they can receive some faith support, and their children will get some basic education." The construction has been started and is planned to end in around 9 months.

The church will be able to give a basic education for 50 children. Will cost 20.000€ and will suppose a spenditure of 320€ per week.

NEWSPAPER (JANUARY 1951)
Fire on the Mining Camp!
 A trailer house in the Mining Camp caught in fire this evening around 2:10 AM. The house, occupied by two elders, died inside the house. The  firefighters, who arrived from Ragnvald, took around 40 minutes to arrive to the area. The firefighters chief said: "This location is in nowhere, we  cannot arrive at time here if there are any other fire. This is a nightmare for any firefighter." Steel Rhino do not said anything about it and just  given the condolences to the family. The reason of the fire are unknown, and is under investigation.

 

 Volkswagen Camper T1 reaches top sales in the world
 Volkswagen Camper T1 beat any sales record. Is actually the most used vehicle for any citizen. The company said: "This success is made with the  efforts placed on this vehicle. We want to continue in this way and create more and better vehicles."

Update #3: Spring 1951

PROLOGUE

The Eolic Park has been finished, with four wind turbines will supply the Mining Camp and the Ore Prospection. The Eolic Park is providing now 16 MW and is expected to increase the amount of turbines along the next years.

 

The two first and only commercial business at the moment. One car dealer and one gas station will supply the basic needs for all Volkswagen Camper T1.

 

 

Overview of the situation actually, the new concrete road with light. Highly demanded by the citizens. The Mining Camp have actually 382 inhabitants.

 

NEWSPAPER - (MARCH 1951)
Heavy snow in Krovastadt
A heavy snow fell on Krovastadt. The snow covered entirely the territory and caused some issues on the region. An accident was registered on the I-12 near the Mining Camp. No major incidents reported.
 

 Finished the construction of Eolic parks and Church in Mining Camp
 The first works on Krovastadt has been ended. The road has been pavemented. The church is finished and the eolic park started working today. The  Mining Camp is happy to see the new progress on the area.

 

 New car dealer in Krovastadt
 A new dealer opened its doors in Mining Camp. The intention is supply with vehicles and all needs for the vehicles. The dealer also opened a gas station at it side.

BREAKING NEWS: Mining Camp Church under fire! 
 The recently opened Church on Mining Camp it caught on fire this night. The Church was opened yesterday to the public. The parson said: "This is  a God signal, he is angry because we are here. Exploting the natural resources of the Earth".

The Curch was programmed to give basic education to 11 children, the class was posposed until the Church is being remodeled.

Update #4: Summer 1951

PROLOGUE

The Camp is growing good. Actually it have 671 inhabitants.

As the grow of the Mining Camp, I needed to add some security, so I decided to add on the Camp the Dave's Tactical Gun Shop. Where the citizens can go to practice, on this Shop, at nights they are coordinating some citizen patrols to secure the Camp.

Also the Church is full of children so I have to install a new school. I will place a new school just in front of the Dave's Tactical Gun Shop. Actually it is in construction.

I started to work on farming, and some fields have been added on the arounds. And with that, a massive arrival of seagulls.

This is how it looks acually the Mining Camp.

 

 

NEWSPAPER - (AUGUST 1951)
The Church on Mine Camp can not atend all children
 After the remodelation in March after a fire, the town experimented a high increase of poblation. The high  population saturated the Church in  education and a lot of childrens are not getting education. For this reason, a  new school is in construction near Dave's Tactical Gun Shop.

 The construction will take around two months and is planned to attend more than 500 children.

 

 Mining Camp citizens are now on agriculture!
 With the lack of industry on the Mining Camp due constructions (Steel Rhino planned start exploiting the Ore around 1955), all citizens on the town, where now are living some employees and construction workers, are starting some fields for agriculture. With the lack of commerce on the area, they want to start cultivating their own products.

But, with that, another problem started on the area. A massive seagulls are now flying on the sky. The local representation of the Mining Camp allowed a 'Seagull Hunting'. The hunting is planned to start on the next days and will take around one week.

 

 

NEWSPAPER - (SEPTEMBER 1951)
 Street Market to sell the goods from agriculture
 One month ago Mining Camp started recollecting the first agriculture prospection. And to sell all goods that cannot  sell on any other place, the inhabitants decided to make a street market, with approval of the representants and with  support of the local security responsible, Dave, from the Dave's Tactical Gun Shop. 

 The market is placed on the main street and the traffic on the area is forbidden. The stalls will remain on the main  street for a week.
