If I were to dive into CS modding, how would I get started?

Hey guys,

So I've finally decided after a couple months of waiting for at least some of the hype to die down that I will stick my head into the Cities: Skylines modding world. My only issue is that I have no idea how or where to get started. There are tutorials all over the place, but they all seem like they are for people who have experience.

If anyone could give me some insight, that would be fantastic :).

    This helped me get going. Grab ILSpy to look though the game code. Look at some of Bochums source code to see how you can detour methods.

    Some C# background is definitely helpful, the good thing is that CS has a built in C# compiler for mods, just drop in the source and go.

    I do intend to learn some C#, so that shouldn't be too much of an issue. Thanks for the info :).
