 I have a new ASUS M32BF-B03

  • Running Windows 8.1
  • AMD A10-Series
  • Processor: 3.7GHz (with Turbo CORE up to 4.3GHz)
  • Cash: 4MB
  • RAM: 8GB
  • Graphics card: AMD Radeon HD 8670D

I've been playing Cities:Skylines for a couple of weeks and it machine seems to be doing OK, though I don't have a ton of extras but I am running 14 mods. My city has about 50K.

Any opinions and/or suggestions. Am I going to run into trouble with a large city. I also am using 15 map tiles.

Thanks,

Dick Wright

At least it's a quad core processor.  But the graphics are integrated.  While they're better than intel's graphics, they will limit you mid-late game.

8GB RAM is minimum for your setup.  Windows uses 1.5gb, the game 3.5gb and graphics 2gb, leaves you about 1gb for mods.  so you have just enough where you're at now.

As for 15-tile, I assume they are lightly used.  my 15-tile city currently is 350k pop and tons of traffic.  you may not be able to handle that much.

You should be able to handle 150k pop if you have good traffic and balanced city.

You may need to add a graphics card or even 16GB RAM to achieve higher results.  I'd wait until you start hitting limits first.

Thanks, I suspected my system was OK but not so much when I start getting higher loads on it. I may go the RAM route for know. Appreciate the advice.
