Are there any maps yet of NYC that are accurate and to scale? I've seen several NYC maps on the workshop but most of them are not accurate or they are not properly scaled.

If you want an accurate map use the cities skylines web tool at http://terrain.party/

You can select anywhere in the world.

WOW... can't believe something like this already exists. Thanks man!

be sure to edit the height map a bit in an image editing program before importing it to the game though, the base data sort of gives a rough map.

I'm guessing the reason that they are all not to scale is because you wouldn't be able to fit much of NYC on a Skylines map at the right scale.

I noticed this when I made an NYC map. There's no water. How do I adjust the elevation on the picture?

This is a nice program for maps but I couldn't figure out how to set the flow of the water, the direction that is. In game my map that i created had water without the flow direction arrows to let you know where to put water pumps and waste water pipes.

you don't really need to change the elevation of the map, instead, it's easier to raise the sea level in the map editor.

if you only raise the sea level, you're not going to have any flow in the map.

One thing you can do is create a couple of large water spawners on one side (maybe a bit over sea level), let the map run on high speed for a while. You should be seeing some flow then.

check that it's working in the map editor first though, because you can't get back to the editor once you start your city.

I did a waterfall effect for testing purposes only.  It's a bit rough, but I'm brand new to this game and the land editor - so don't mind the "roughness" of certain areas.  I'll learn how to do it correctly later.
