The best Sci-fi movie I recently saw was Avatar .

Hiking alone (or at least with your family/friends not surrounded by a million tourists) in unblemished nature with some camping thrown in for good measure.  The drive there and back would be a fabulous part of the adventure, too.  All those negative ions...

    Open layout, attached two car garage, big windows looking at a nice bit of land, be it mountains, the sea/a big lake (preferably a Great one), or a babbling brook, or maybe all three together.
